Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed in unit 6 for 3 nights while visiting family. The room was large with a fully equipped kitchen and separate bedroom. The traditional style motel is located in a quiet street two blocks from the Main Street of Hastings.

Very well located accommodation - pretty much everything in the city is a not too long walk - all flat as well. The motel was very clean and I really liked the firm mattress, which is way better for the back than the jelly like mattresses found in most places, even at twice the price.
Value wise, probably slightly more expensive than it should be when compared with similar motels in other areas of the country. Broadband (WiFi) speed was very good as well. The property is well maintained and has a personal touch from the team to assist beyond the basics.

We spent 4 nights here and it is a great place for a longer stay as the kitchen is fully equipped. Including a full oven. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed being able to swim in the pool. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The location was also another bonus, close to the town. About two blocks to walk. Also Hastings was was a good base for visiting other nearby towns and places.

This motel is very comfortable. It is clean and modern with very friendly staff.
Just found this motel by chance as we were driving through Hastings and we were so lucky to get such good accommodation without pre-booking. Shower room and kitchen facilities are very good with a separate bedroom..
It is conveniently located near a supermarket and the centre of Hastings is just a few minutes walk away.
Stayed just 1 night as we were on our way to Wellington but would have liked to have stayed longer.

Best place to stay if you are visiting Hastings, Hawks Bay, New Zealand. Famous Wineries (Mission Estate, Elephant Hill, Peter Yealands & more), Ataki Honey Centre, Cape Kidnappers & Te Mata Peak are super short drive away. Across the street is a big awesome Countdown supermart. Not sure why anyone will consider anywhere else. Beautiful fragrant roses planted by Host around the area which blooms so nicely that looking at them would be better than making a trip to Botanic gardens in wellington!

Stayed 2 nights in a two-bedroom apartment. Clean, comfortable, lots of space. Quiet area with little traffic. Good parking next to the apartment. The couple running the a place are extremely modest, friendly and helpful. It was easly to book by mobile phone as we were approaching Hastings by car.

We stayed here one night. The motel is modest but very clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was good with quality bedding. The kitchen had everything we needed during our stay and again, was very clean. I’m a bit of a germaphobe and I was quite comfortable here! I have no hesitation recommending this place.

The managers were very friendly, accommodating and helpful with advise. The location was nice and central, and the price was very fair. Our unit was simple but given the price it was realistic. We'd happily stay here again.

Attractive little gem tucked off the street. Quiet street. Everything you need and well laid out. Handy to RSA and shops. Good internet service. Enjoyed swimming in the pool, nice and warm about 25 degrees. Warm and friendly reception.
