Thanks for the stay. Enjoyed our last minute decision to stay. Am a bit fussy re cleanliness and our room was fine (number 1 indicator - no grime in the shower!!!!!!!!!!). Got more than what we paid for. Pool............smallish.....but GORGEOUS, REFRESHING, AND CLEAN. Just be careful driving in.....use the entrance farthest from the intersection.

The reception on arrival was indicative of the quality of service. I was made to feel very welcome, and the room was cleaned daily. The unit was warm with a comfortable bed I highly recommend the cooked breakfast. I stayed three nights. The motel is within close proximity to many amenities. Be aware the motel is located on a busy road.

We used this motel for a stoppver , it is located in a uninteresting part of Hastings. The motel seemed to be used mainly by truckers and travelers. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful and the room very clean.

We ended up in Hastings at a time when everything was booked due to a Cricket Match and after much of search we found Camberley Court Motel. As we were in desperate need of a place to stay so we chose it blindly and then it was our experience.
1. Owner charged us 140 bucks capitalizing our situation whereas their normal price is $ 120 on their website and everywhere.
2. SPA, Pool everything was closed at 9:30 pm so we were not allowed to use any service and even in the morning SPA was not open till 9 am ( Didn't look for it after that as we had to go)
3. Room was ok but there were lot of cockroaches in there :( , Heater was not working
4. Location is pathetic in terms of natural beauty. Nothing is there except few factories/Industries. However a 24*7 gas station was just at doorstep :)
Chattels were good in room and Owner was welcoming but our overall experience with Camberley Court Motel was Pathetic ..

Upon arrival I noted the very basic interior of the motel but felt it clean enough and we were tired having driven from the far North. The interior was locked into the ugliest of 1970's decor, none of that , though disappointing, would have mattered were we looked after. Where to start, the utensils provided were greasy and dirty, the television remote had flat batteries which had been flattened, which we have since learned is way to try and extend their life, it did not work. The plugs were no-where near where they were needed to use jugs and toasters you had to unplug an appliance to plug something else in. in the morning we had no hot water for a shower, we were unable raise anyone in the office before 9am. Upon telling the owner we had no hot water he very abruptly informed me that "we have truck drivers staying in this unit all the time they have never complained" he then stuck his hand under the shower which was gushing out icy water, and moved the

I intend to complain to the motel association, we have never met such an insult to NZ hospitality, Basil Faulty has nothing on him. We have travelled the world and never been insulted in such a manner before.

Very disappointed with attitude from the owner!!!!!!!!!!! asked nicely if we could have a small TV in room for my chrildren and the reply was? what you get is what you pay? i found that very rude and unprofessional . there was no need for that kind attitude and having one of the guests listening in and commenting on how great his answer was...
Was not on for me, there was no need to belittle guest infront of other guests, i give this motel a negative ---------1150 rating, i would not recommend it to any of my friends or family, infact i was very disgusted with his attitude and his reply,

Excellent accommodation, friendly service and great valve for money. Enjoyed our stay.
Children facilities great. Close to Hastings town centre and close to expressway to Napier for day trips. Ticked all the wright boxes for us as a family on holiday. Will stay there again.

I booked two units for four people months ahead for a family occasion to be held October 2018.
While traveling overseas in July 2018, my two bookings were unexpectedly cancelled. When I asked why, I received the following explanation:
"You just got a new message from the Booking Assistant!
Camberley Court Motel said:
Hi Nigel. Unfortunately your booking is cancelled as those rooms are not available anymore and we unable to provide any replacement. You have ample time to arrange another accomodation. Sorry for inconvenience. Good luck.”

We booked the family room and we're not disappointed. 3 bedrooms for 4 of us although it slept 6. Lots of room.Great kitchen with utensils, was very handy as we made our lunch for the next day traveling. Nice, clean motel. Wifi wasn't the best, but we weren't bothered. Would definitely stay again.

Weave stopped off in many out dated motels, good value for money, they all had good to excellent beds, this unit was made in around1970, it sagged Bradley and by the type of legs on it and upholstery it's well and truely past it use by date.
The motel was clean but had no sink of any kind but that was ok.
Truckies use this so the trucks startup early and we are on a busy road and an intersection
If traffic noise is a problem then don't come here.
The host was very friendly.
The door can't be shut without locking it,so when someone goes out the door will open and one can be seen in bed, so better wear pjs.
Good for a night.
