We had 5 nights based here in Russell. We had planned 3 but extended our stay. It was a great location. Our unit had two patios so there was always a sunny or shady place to sit. It was very clean and well equipped. With an extremely comfortable bed.
Baden the manager was a friendly helpful man.
Seaport is located close to everything we could see the wharf from our patio. The RSA across the road welcomes everyone and the drinks are v reasonable. There is an amazing coffee shop across the road also and lots of great places to eat within a few minutes walk of your front door.

We stayed in Room 3 - a 1 bedroom suite for a 2 night stay. It was very spacious, and had lots of special touches. Really comfy bed and couch, high ceilings with ceiling fan. There was outside seating at both ends of the rooms - so morning and evening sun. A great place to stay.

A very comfortable motel in a perfect central location. Very pleasant and helpful owner. Spacious room and despite being central it was not noisy. Well worth staying here as you can park the car and leave it as everything in walking distance.

Our host Baden was lovely and most helpful. Our unit was spacious, comfortable and our parking was ultra convenient. The accommodation is in a great location so close to cafes, retail and the waterfront. A great place to stay, one minor matter was the fridge in our room was at times a little noisey but really not too much of an issue for us.

We booked well in advance of our stay and also paid $180 in advance for what was advertised as quality accommodation.. When we arrived at 2pm we found that the stage for a reggae/rock concert was set up right next to the motel. Literally. The music was already thumping. A rather disinterested woman whom we supposed to be the receptionist barely paused from her cigarette to inform us that a last minute concert had been set up and would go on till midnight. The noise was such that the motel was uninhabitable and we could not stay there and expect to have any sleep. (This was not simply a case of usual noise from an adjoining bar or restaurant.) She appeared disinterested in assisting us in any way - one might say she was quite rude. The staff at the tourist information office understood the problem, were very helpful and assisted us to find a bed and breakfast. The management of Seaport Village made no effort to contact us prior to advise us of the event so that we could have had the option of making other arrangements. They have not replied to email since. We lost $180. Appalling customer service and I do not recommend Seaport Village to anyone.

We stayed here for a night and just fell in love with the place. It is an older style building that has been done up and decorated with great taste. Our bed was set up with a hibiscus flower in the arrangement of towels and everything was just so beautiful. Our window even looked straight at the wharf and harbour, 2 minutes walk away The manager Baden was SO helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were amazed at the affordable price compared to anything else we checked up on in Russell, especially being almost on the waterfront. The 'Digger's Restaurant' is opposite in the R.S.A building and offers amazing food with their great English chef too. Nice to be able to leave your car and walk everywhere. This is quite the nicest studio unit we've stayed in with our own little private decks, cane chairs, lovely kitchen with even old colonial blue and white china in a wooden stand. All just so quaint and we can't wait to come back and stay there another time.

As they say on their website, Seaport Village is definitely your "home away from Home". The Manager, Baden, as we got to know him, is a great host and provided us with lots of information on the things to do, where to eat in the area. The place has a lot of charm - colonial style - and is right in town. A minute walk to the beach, shops and pubs.
This place has as well a mascot called Paris, the cutest Jack Russell I've ever seen so far. Great for the kids to let them play with it and have a rest lol!
We had the chance to stay few nights together with Baden for some afternoon bbq and vinos on his deck.
This place makes you feel absolutely relaxed and I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to have an awesome experience.

We've been to Bay of Island quite a lot but never stayed in Russell. Found this property on the web and booked online (very easy). We stayed in one of the Luxury Apartments, very well appointed and very comfortable, good value for money, great location. Baden (host) was very friendly and helpfull at all times. Yes there was a concert in the pub next door which interupted my afternoon nap and kept us awake until 11pm but then they stopped. didn't spoil our stay that much. As a tip, if they reduced the rate for 'Extra People', we'd have problably taken another couple with us (and they'd have made more money) but the price was almost as much as we were paying anyway.

My partner was not keen on staying here, the name of the place put him off and the website did not do it justice! Anyway, I didn't listen to him and I booked it - we were not disappointed at all! Very cute little place, right in the heart of everything. Charming surroundings and great attention to detail, even a lovely fresh flower on the towel stack. A decent price for it's location and for what you get too! I'll be back again for sure, hopefully next time for longer and I suggest others check it out too!

We stayed here for four nights over summer, awesome place, the pub was right next door, which was handy, and all amenities were within 2 minutes walk. Baden our host was very helpful, showed us all the nice places to eat that were reasonably priced, the rsa was great!! We will definately be staying again, would recommend to all , from backpacker rooms to a whole 3 bedroom house. We had a unit right next the office, and enjoyed afternoon drinks with baden and the receptionist( the same one mentioned above)as well as guests from the other rooms. The deck was in the right spot as we could listen to the live music(and see it!) that was playing at the local pub.Loved the laid back atmosphere, and the lovely people, made us feel at home.
