Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had an overnight stay in this lovely bed and breakfast, and the hosts Deb and Dave were amazing and went out of their way to be welcoming and accommodating! As we were leaving really early the next morning, Deb even went to all the trouble of making us a 'packed lunch' we could take with us! (thanks Deb!)

Beds are comfy, their house is filled with a collection of amazing and eclectic items, and there were even extra little touches like fluffy bathrobes in our wardrobe :-)

We were in Nelson for a funeral so it was nice not to have to worry about anything - just wish we could have stayed longer, even just to chat more... next time! Thanks again, Jewels and Sarah

We stayed here for 2 nights in November. The house is decorated with all kinds of memorabilia which Dave collects. Interesting in itself. Our room was roomy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was substantial though the kitchen could have been kept cleaner (dirty dishes in the sink).

We loved our stay at Driftwood. Owners Deb and Dave are creatives that compete in the annual World of WearableArt each year. The house reflects their fun creative life. They are delightful and accommodating. The location was very handy for visiting Abel Tasman and then heading down to Hamnar Sporings.

We absolutely loved our stay at driftwood house! The owners were very welcoming and helpful with lots of suggestions of where to eat and see in the area. The room was immaculate, super comfy bed and tea, coffee and biscuits of every description! Breakfast was wonderful with everything you could imagine to choose from, eggs, avocados, jams, cereal, the works! Great place highly recommended!

Had a great 2 night stay at this B&B thanks to Deb and Dave who provided a wonderful warm welcome. From the moment I arrived until leaving I felt truly at home. Amenities are very good and you are encouraged to make use of the swimming pool ,outdoor terrace and lounges. Tea and coffee or something a little stronger are always available and Deb was usually on hand to help with the preparation in the spacious kitchen. Breakfast was a treat with different choices of fruit, cereals and breads with jam and honey. Highly recommended.

Right from the first warm welcome Debbie and Dave could see that I needed a bit of TLC and a few laughs, having just moved house. I was immediately enveloped in a homely atmosphere and treated as a friend. I slept like a lamb, quiet and comfortable room. Breakfast was great and they even cleared my windscreen of the frost the next morning. Thanks very much I appreciated your kindness.

Debbie and Dave, from the UK, gave us a royal NZ welcome. They were superb hosts and looked after our every need.

The breakfasts were more than enough with good NZ produce, jams and honey.

The room was very comfortable, even with a Victorian bed (new posturepedic mattress) and a great view of the sea.

They could not have been more kind and helpful. We felt truly at home

Highly recommended.
