I must agree with the previous review on everything. The host is a true gentleman who does a lot of work at hotel himself. The house which I think was built in 1860s is a cool place with a lot of character. The room however was $110 NZ and was a little overpriced. Don't get me wrong the view is nice, sitting at the table on the balcony you can see the church and the park but the bouquet of flowers on the desk is very dusty and the shower curtain has to be replaced. We did enjoy our stay here though and what I've pointed out above are just suggestions to make the hotel better. There is a swimming pool in this picture and may be there is one but we never inquired about it or saw it.

We stayed one night and were given a very warm welcome by owner who has been there for 14 years. Unfortunately the house is a little dated. Our initial reaction to our room was 'Wow' as the view from our small balcony was fabulous. However the room and the bathroom needed a good clean. We found live silverfish in the cutlery drawer! Bathroom in need of a new shower, very mouldy. Room had to much furniture in it.
