Nice hotel, generous sized room with all amenities, quiet location, a short stroll to bars and restaurants. Friendly reception staff. Express breakfast in restaurant was great value with good service.
I can't thank you enough for putting in a great effort to make sure that I got my breakfast in the morning despite the opening time was 6am it was delivered at 5am. Not just a cold breakfast but a full cooked breakfast as well. I worked in the hotel Industry for many years and I am so impressed with your service you went extra miles to wow me, hats off to your staff. That is how you make a difference. The staff are so welcoming with excellent communication skills. I am happy that my company chose you as a place for the staff to stay and I recommend you to all my friends and families as a place to stay when visiting Nelson. Excellent location as well. Keep up the good work.
In addition to this being great central accommodation , both restaurants serve fantastic food. We had the local fish, which was groper. Grilled, offered with a selection of fresh diverse side dishes. The Japanese restaurant is equally impressive, serving food Tipenyaki style.
excellent location to Nelson city centre, easy access to restaurants, cafes , bars, eateries, city centre. Very comfortable and really big size rooms with excellent bathroom. Parking easily available. Also has a very beautiful foyer and good conference facilities.
We stayed for 4 nights in a spacious room on the fifth floor. The room was cleaned daily with quality complimentary toiletries, tea and coffee facilities. Excellent location in the town centre, easy access to local attractions and convenient for visiting Abel Tasman national park. Extremely friendly and helpful desk staff, particularly Kayla.
Rooms could do with a make over and the windows were drafty but still really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and had lovely views over the cathedral gardens and the sea in the distance. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The restaurant was bright with a nice ambience, although we only had breakfast there. Only a short walk to the main restaurant areas. Valet parking.
Excellent service from check in to check out. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Rooms were spacious, bed was comfortable (one double and a single provided) and although there was a slightly old fashioned bathroom, this didn't diminish from my stay. Breakfast service was good, with a coffee order made and brought quickly to my table. Overall a memorable stay in a well positioned hotel that was a short walk from central Nelson's shops and restaurants.
Stayed one night on business and very impressed with service, room quality and especially the on-site Miyazu Resturant. One of the best Japanese style eateries I have been to. Weather was great although Nelson region is in a very dry spell and green areas are under stress and not looking as they should. Great staff.
Nice room, good room service, however a bit of an effort when leaving the empty tray outside the door. The door does not stay open, so I ended up using my foot as a wedge while trying not to drop the tray. Lightbulb moment on the second morning of my stay. Before opening the door, I placed the empty tray on the floor, then opened the door and slid the tray out with my foot. Two thumbs up for free WiFi and Netflix.
Everything AOK with this hotel : convenient, clean, welcoming, well appointed, good parking ( freely available on street when we were there). Breakfast was good as was the one evening meal we ate there. We had a spacious, corner, family bedroom on the top floor with good views over Nelson. No noise problems.
