We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour over Christmas. The hotel is in a good location conveniently placed for sightseeing in Nelson. The rooms are comfortable, if dated in decor, with the usual room amenities provided. The catering left much to be desired both in terms of the food and service, which was very slow and disorganised. Reception staff were generally helpful.
..positioned in the centre of Nelson this hotel is fine for most activities..almost everything has been thought of for the comfort of guests including a choice of pillows - on a holiday of 30 nights in 12 different hotels one soon finds those little touches..the breakfasts were fine although at dinner there were a few issues amongst our group and fortunately the management accepted the comments and promises to act..it was Christmas and no doubt staffing wasn't easy though they did their best..top star rating is deserved!..
This Hotel is brilliant! We stayed in a double room and it was so clean and tidy. The beds were so comfy as were the pillows and everything else. It was so peaceful and quiet. The reception staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful. For breakfast we got the buffet and again the staff were so friendly and amazing! They chatted with us and made us feel so welcome. They have such amazing customer service at this motel and are so professional! Cleary whoever is running this place needs some recognition :) I will find it very hard to stay anywhere else. Thanks for having us!!!
Stayed for 3 nights during our trip to Nelson and surrounding area. Great location, very quiet area and a few minutes stroll from the centre of town. We were very warmly greeted on arrival and given info about the town etc. Our bags were taken to our room and our car parked for us. Parking costs $5 a day in the hotel car park, street parking also available. We had a lovely room with a very comfortable bed. Bath robes also provided. Very good stay with very pleasant and helpful staff. Highly recommend.
My wife and I had a brilliant Japanese meal at the Miyaza Restaurant, the waitress was friendly and very attentive. The food and service was excellent and was good value. We will definitely go back again soon.
We loved this hotel, the best on our NZ trip. Rooms, breakfast and service all excellent. It’s ideal for access to downtown too. The managers reception on us arriving really set the scene. Great place, where we have an excellent stay.
This is a lovely hotel - well appointed and very comfortable. It fulfils my criteria for top rating - bathrobes, valet parking etc. Attentive but not intrusive staff too, who are quick to anticipate one’s needs. Thank you Jass and Kayla! It was quiet - the holiday season has yet to kick in though. Very much enjoyed our stay.
Nice quiet hotel within walking distance to the the main shopping area in Nelson. It’s a little old fashioned but very clean with friendly staff and a good restaurant and cafe there to eat at too. Only thing I would comment on was the breakfast which if you are a cooked breakfast lover is great but for someone who likes a nice quality bowl of muesli with fresh fruits then $25 is a steep price for a lot of tinned fruit and packet cereal- so failed badly for me on that side. Otherwise nice place to stay with lots of cafes to eat breakfast at, at half the price within a few minutes walk.
Clean & tidy rooms, very comfy beds, close to restaurants, bars and a huge range of art & craft shops etc close by in the city, got stuck in a lift for 2 hours and missed dinner one night, the hotel duty manager very apologetic
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights as a business trip. We both enjoyed the stay. The size of the room was big. It was very clean and tidy. We received a great customer service. The location is absolutely close to everything in Nelson. Great restaurants and cafes nearby. Only 2 minutes to Christ Church and 30 minutes walking to Centre of New Zealand. Highly recommended.
