A delightful place to stay. The bedroom is between the bathroom and a small kitchen/living room space and the unit was given unobtrusive housekeeping each day. We had 4 nights here and really appreciated the quietness and cozy environment. The hosts were helpful, friendly, and unobtrusive, and very obliging with providing some extra kitchen utensils that we asked for. The breakfasts were yummy! We thoroughly recommend Baywick Inn and will stay here again when next in Nelson.
Only a few rooms, but very clean, tidy and cosy. Our room did not have an ensuit3, but did have a private, sole use bathroom. Excellent hosts provided a very tasty and local breakfast. We did travel in March 2017, but I didn’t realise I hadn’t posted the review!
My fiancé and I stayed at the Baywick Inn recently, and loved the picturesque building, the decadent breakfasts, and the delightful company of our hosts. Our hosts were particularly helpful recommending activities for us to do around Nelson, and were very knowledgeable about the local history.
You know you've found somewhere special when you wish you had booked longer! Friendliness of welcome which made us feel like one of the family. Gorgeouse homely guest accommodation and scrummy breakfast. What makes this place stand out are the hosts and their relaxed approach. Lovely to sit and chat over breakfast. Definitely a first class Canadian/Kiwi combination. Can't recommend this B and B highly enough.
The B&B has changed a bit since we originally booked in that Tim and Janet have moved from the 'big house' to one they have had built behind. Our room was attached to one side of their new property having its own courtyard and entrance, a small lounge area, very comfortable bedroom and superb shower room. Janet communicated the change to us in advance and generously offered us a bottle of Nelson wine in recompense which we thoroughly enjoyed. As did we the decanters of sherry and port provided for your stay! Janet and Tim are lovely people who are very friendly, helpful and attentive to all of your needs and a pleasure to just sit with and chat to. Breakfasts are wonderful with fresh fruit and Janet's maple toasted muesli together with other goodies and a different cooked option each day which was delicious. On the day that we had to leave early J & T provided a superb spread for us to eat in our lounge before heading out. The location is also great within easy walking distance of Nelson itself and many beautiful walks including one taking you to the official centre of New Zealand. It's also an easy drive to get to the Abel Tasman park and other places along the way. We would highly recommend Tim and Janets' B&B PS mustn't forget a mention for Jazz, Tim and Janets' little dog! Lovely.…
