Saxton Lodge were very kind therefore to be able to offer us another night after our cycling and hiking holiday. We had an excellent stay, very comfortable and we much appreciated the friendly...

Very unexpected stay as our car broke down on Good Friday. We arrived late and were greeted by a very friendly owner who found us menus for food outlets and made us feel very welcome. Rooms great. Thanks

Spent two weeks staying here for work in the area. The service was excellent. Room were clean and tidied daily, lunches were good and tea was awesome - I could'nt ask for anything better. Thanks to Dave and Desma for the excellent customer service and making sure everything was to our satisfaction. Look forward to staying there again.

We booked literally the morning of the day we were driving up to Nelson to visit grandparents and secured a room on Booking.com for my brother and his wife with an extra single bed for me for $150, perfect! Had huge, strong modern shower in our bathroom:) sky in the room so relaxed in bed watching a couple of good...

Spent a couple nights here while exploring surrounding areas. A warm and friendly welcome by Desma & David. Room was ok, by that I mean it was clean and comfortable but needed a few hugs. Things like the armchairs that have large rips in the upholstery make you think someone must not care to much about how the room comes...

Thank you for your feedback, and we're pleased you felt welcomed on arrival. We do realise some of the rooms are in need of upgrading. We are currently in the process of re-vamping the rooms. Kind regards.

We stayed there for 4 nights. Rooms are large and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was great with a lovely large shower. It is close to the Richmond Mall approx 5 minute drive. The owners were great and very accommodating. The room has tea and coffee making facilities. If you want to cook meals there is a communal kitchen...

We had a lovely room here. Very clean and comfortable. The owner also served a continental breakfast in our room at a reasonable price. There was ample parking and it was handy for the beach and other amenities.

Doing a road trip around New Zealand, Saxton Lodge hit the spot perfectly. Our large two bedroom family unit slept five and included microwave, fridge etc and there was a further communal kitchen available if required (we did not use it). There are also laundry facilities available. The managers, David and Desma gave us a lovely welcome and were very...

Stayed for a few days to be within short walk of athletics track. Arrived very early, far earlier than check-in. I didn't expect a room to be available but was giving great treatment and I was allowed to work with access to wi-fi in dining area before a room was made available a little while later. Bonus. The rooms are...
