This is an excellent place to stay. The room was large and spotless with a very comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. Toiletries are provided together with a small kitchenette for having breakfast We asked to have the meal of bbq roast leg of lamb with fresh vegetables from the vgarden and pavlova with raspberries from the garden. Delicious. Breakfast ordered the night before was equally good. Lindsay and Ann are a delightful couple.

Had a lovely relaxing time at Happy Valley B & B. It was like an overnight stay with family. Anne and Lindsey are such lovely hosts. We decided to just stay in and we had a lovely meal of homemade tomato soup and warm rolls. The bed was super comfy and brekky was soooo delicious. We hope to come back this way and would definitely stay here again. A lovely friendly and relaxing experience. Thanks Anne and Lindsey 🙂

Stayed one night in December 2016 whilst touring South Island. Near Oamuru (a strange but interesting little town) on a small farm. There are two rooms in a converted outbuilding. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. There were complimentary cakes on the table when we arrived. As it was a little way out of town we opted to have an evening meal which was served by Ann and Lindsey in our room. Absolutely lovely. Before we left the following morning after a nice breakfast we were shown round their fantastic garden with amazing fruit and vegetables. This is a lovely place to stay and Ann and Lindsey are the most relaxed and friendly people you could hope to meet.

We enjoyed our stay at Happy Valley B&B and wished it could have been longer. The accommodation was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the spotless unit had everything you would need including wifi, complementary cakes and chocolate, magazines etc. There was also a large garden with tables and chairs to be enjoyed on a warm, sunny day. The owners Ann and Lindsey were wonderful hosts and could not have been more helpful. They provided us with an excellent home cooked dinner using home grown produce. Breakfast was also very good, again with home made jams, jellies etc. It will be first choice should we be visiting the area again.

Best ever value for the money, location , easy to find just of the state highway. The Hosting provided surpassed our expectations as we arrived well into the early hours of the morning and we were still greeted.

My husband and I had a 17 night trip throughout New Zealand and this B&B was our favorite place to stay! It was our last night on the islands and we regret not staying at more B&Bs. We stayed in hotels, motels, apartments, a cottage, and another B&B in a town. We loved that this B&B was in the country, away from the city noises. It was great being on a "hobby farm" with gardens, animals, and a pond. We have only stayed at a few B&Bs in our lifetime because we like our privacy and space. This B&B has two brand new apartments in a separate building from the owner's home. Super clean, well furnished, and the breakfast was wonderful! Homemade bread and jams included.
The owners are an amazing couple that we learned so much about NZ culture and lifestyles. We will definitely stay there longer on our (hopefully) future visit to NZ. Location was convenient to Oamaru and Dunedin...where there is so much to do and see. They gave us super recommendations based on our interests.

We found this B&B by chance. We had no accomodation booked and it was getting late. Ann & Lindsay welcomed us in and even prepared a quick (& delicious) evening meal for us. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We can recommend Happy Valley and will have no hesitation staying there again on our next visit to NZ.

Lovely out of town B&B. Easy drive to either Moeraki or Oamaru. Clean, very new, very comfortable bedding, fully equipment kitchen, lots of space, fresh and clean, lovely toiletries in the bathroom, friendly and hospitable hosts.

Ann is a wonderful, friendly, helpful (travel tips-directions) host. Her breakfast was lovely, homemade and substantial- very tasty muesli and bread. She accommodated for vegans. Wish we could have stayed longer! Separate studio apartment was comfortable and well decorated. It is located near Moeraki Boulders and a beach for possible viewing of seals and penguins. We HIGHLY recommend Happy Valley!
