Loved this place. Very homely, compact but sufficient twin room, 2 kitchens and lounges, as well as a basement room meaning that the place doesn't feel busy or noisy. Would definitely recommend and it's a great town to stop over in

We stayed here for one night but would have loved to have stayed another, alas, our itinerary did not allow :) We arrived quite late driving down from Christchurch after we finished work, slightly after reception closing. Lavleen was really lovely and waited for us...More

I arrived in Oamaru at night and by chance passed this hostel so I walked in to book a room. The reception door was closed but there was a bell and the girl came over quickly. She mentioned the rates for a single dorm bed...More

I unexpectedly ended up staying the night in this amazing building ,big thank you to the friendly and attentive owner . Location is great ,rooms pleasant and surprisingly warm as it was freezing outside,Would definitely recommend people to stay here 😊

Arrived on motorbike tour, and the friendly hostess promptly arranged for secure parking in the rear yard of this historic hotel. Capet is a little dated, but it hardly detracts from the great work-over this hotel has had. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds....More
