Our flight from Sydney was delayed causing us to miss our connecting domestic flight and having to stay in Auckland overnight. Unfortunately, if this happens to you at Auckland Airport (and probably at any airport in NZ), you're on your own in finding accommodation. After phoning around numerous hotels, most with an answer phone or asking to be emailed with details, we were so pleased that the Airport Manor Inn answered our call and had a vacant room. Furthermore, they had a a very welcome shuttle service which picked us up and took us back to the airport early the next morning. We were so grateful to be accommodated at the last minute. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and was very quiet. Only one thing spoilt our stay. The shuttle driver duly arrived at appointed time. He jumped out of the van and opened the boot door then jumped back into his cab and left us (both in our 80s) to lift our travel bags into the boot and close the door. We climbed into van and promptly put on our masks and he did nothing but sniff and blow his nose all the way to airport. When we got to airport he opened the boot but he had to take out our bags as we weren’t doing it, but he left them on road and not on footpath. I might add that we stay here at least 3 times a year and have not had this problem before and hope to not have it again.

Single pillows only (no extras), comfy bed and very efficient heating. Large bathroom - you could live in the whole space for longer than overnight quite easily. Equipped kitchen with plates and cutlery but no saucepans despite having two hot plates. Microwave, fridge and kettle provided. Large room and wardrobe space -plenty of room for suitcases etc. All up - a very pleasantly surprising whole.

Enjoyed my stop over here last night. Staff were courteous, pickup and drop off to airport easy and hassle-free (4am departure for a 6am flight).
The room was an unusual layout, apparently designed not to catch the light! But I liked the high ceilings, it was very clean, warm, quiet and comfortable and the bathroom was very modern - the spa bath was a hoot, flashing lights and energetic bubbles galore, yay!
You can walk easily to a couple of superettes and a takeaway place.
It wasn't cheap, but then nothing is near Auckland airport and it was an excellent mid-range choice. I'll stay again and can recommend.

As the motel was close to Auckland airport and I had an early flight decided to book (other more desirable hotel booked out). Advertised free WiFi which basically only worked properly if you stood in the carpark, metal inserts on my room's door where it had either rotted away or been previously kicked in, had to go to reception to ask for a heater. Free shuttle was the best thing. Paid NZ$179

I made a booking to stay the night with my plane landing at midnight. I asked if I could book the shuttle and was told I just need to phone the 0800 number upon landing and the shuttle would arrive for me. But NO! At 1am I phoned for the shuttle and was told it is not available after midnight. Their website advertises a 24 hour shuttle service!! The only reason I booked this motel was because of the shuttle service. I would not stay here otherwise. It is very run down and very expensive.

Clean and tidy, simple motel, very close to airport. We arrived at about 1am after a delayed flight. Keys left in lock box and very easy to locate. Ample parking. Quiet. Very comfy beds. Kids loved the spa bath. Stayed 2 nights while exploring Auckland and would stay again

I booked in to be close to the airport and paid for 2 nights. $170 per night. Made a tea and sat down outside then after that decided to have a shower. Saw the filth in the bathroom and took photos to show management as I couldn't stay in such a dirty place so asked for a refund. Manager was polite but owner, who didn't speak English, decided I had to pay for first night despite it only being mid afternoon and I'd only been there 2 hours! I just want people to be warned as I was led astray by the reviews which said how clean it was! Also while I was in the office waiting for a decision a man came in and booked a room for ONE HOUR. Manager said rooms were available for this purpose! Yuk. The photos speak for themselves. The first one is the bathroom window which was covered with a net curtain, the second one a corner of bathroom, the 3rd is inside the shower and the 4th what lurked beneath the drainage hole in the shower. Gross.

Lovely people who run this establishment. Clean and tidy. 10mins from the airport. Arrived back on a very late flight, keys were left in the lock boxes for you. A great place to stay when travelling overseas.

Dad, a great supporter of hotel for 20yrs plus, including recommending many people, had to cancel his one night stay at hotel when cruise cancelled at last minute due to corona virus.There was nothing he could do to cancel within the hotel's cancellation policy time. Very disappointed when after speaking to the manager he declined to even give him a credit, Very brassed off!
