Our superb relaxed beach atmosphere, friendly yet attentive service and hospitality keep guests returning year after year. Guests love our location as we are away from town, just a short picturesque drive along the coast to stay beachside on our quiet and relatively private beach. Groups also are drawn to Henty Bay with easy access to many attractions and points of interest including the famous TRELOAR Roses, Great South West Walk passing along our beach and in whale season many whales are spotted from our park. Portland is home to Australia’s only mainland Colony of Gannets, Petrified Forest and so many more natural wonders, highlights and activities appealing to a wide variety interests and demographic.

We loved our stay of 4 nights. The Villa was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed sitting on the porch with our bay views. The Park is interesting in that a lot of it - the entrance, reception area etc is outdated but being in hospitality ourselves we can see that everything is presented to the best it can be, especially after 2 years of COVID and no income. Be kind! The communal areas in their heyday would have been very functional and still provide a lot, plenty of undercover areas to relax as you wish. The camp kitchen is fantastic, well equipped with great seating area with terrific scenery under cover. We loved walking around the park with its beach bush and hidden nooks as well as the opportunity for beach walks. We felt privileged to spend time in such a natural setting with a little bit of nostalgia of times gone by. If you want 5 star amenities this is not for you but if you want 5 star experience this is it.

Henty Bay Caravan Park was average at best. Many of the powered sites did not have a water trap for grey water. The toilets were often out of toilet paper and the showers rarely had a hot/cold balance. The toilet block in general was grubby and only cleaned (as I saw) once a day and there was only ONE toilet block for such a large park. I would recommend always taking extra tissues into the toilets! Overall, our experience was ok, but I wouldn't recommend this park to my family and friends.

Thanks P8702CMpennym for your feedback and comments. Now that peak season is just about behind us we can focus on improving our facilities. Adhering to COVID cleaning requirements and policies it meant that at a minimum 3 cleans per day was carried out and this was recorded on the spreadsheet as you enter the facilities. I'm sorry that at times the toilet paper ran low and we acknowledge over peak times we could do with more amenities. Thanks again for staying with us

This park was clean & close to beach. Our Cabin was very clean & comfortable. As cabin was near beach it was wonderful to watch the waves crashing on the rocks. Heater was awesome. A lovely meal was appreciated at their restaurant with the open fire going. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Terrible hospitality!
Tap water was not drinkable, it was yellow.
One of the most unhelpful experiences. There were possibilities to extend options by the reception staff to make our stay more comfortable but absolutely nothing was done. Wifi never worked and our room was nowhere near to be called a luxury accommodation. Nothing was done to make our stay better even when I myself suggested so many doable options, all that I met was ‘sorry it’s a long weekend, can’t do it’.
Staff needs to be trained to be way more accommodating with requests or the least say ‘no’ in a more empathising way and show some keenness to help guests make the most out of their stay. Travelling is not cheap these days and these little human interactions matter a lot.
Zero stars for the lady reception staff whose name I don’t find worthy mentioning.

We are sorry you have left our park feeling disappointed in your visit. Our main water supply is from the aquafer. We have many rainwater tanks available for your drinking water. As you booked with a third party provider, we did not have the opportunity to understand your requirement of a sea view. We have a limited amount of cabins with views and these had all been booked in advance for the long weekend. Due to all our cabins being occupied we had no options to move you closer to the water, that said though all of our cabins are only a short walk to the beach. Our Wifi can be very frustrating at busy times and we acknowledge it was intermittent during your visit. We hope you can visit Henty Bay again one day and book one of our ocean view cabins.

The park was really nice on the water but unfortunately not much beachfront due to rising water. Sites were large and on green lawn. The water is bore but plenty of rainwater available for drinking. Very friendly staff and an onsite restaurant which makes great fish and chips. Not far from Portland where you have many shops and supermarkets. Enjoyed our stay very much.

This caravan park is connected to the beautiful beach with stunning trees to complement it. Many sites are spread out making you feel like you are the only ones in the world. However, the ensuite was not as clean as we could hope. 4/5

The cabin was very clean on arrival . The staff were friendly and helpful,
with the beach right on the doorstep was a plus for us, we would recommend. .Due to COVID restrictions the restaurant was only serving takeaway they had a reasonable menu which was quite good.

Great beach and great front view of the sea, quiet & relaxing, good food (satay pizza). Good walk along the beach & enjoy the fresh cool breeze. Kirk & Paula are excellent park carers. You will not be disappointed with a short or long stay at Henty Bay Beach front holiday park.

Not a great experience here. Showers were cold half the time. 1 toilet block with toilets that don’t flush all the time. Limited washing facilities as machines out of order. Games room mediocre.
Great location though to explore the area but, could use some money spent on it.
