Ramada by Wyndham Hervey Bay offers a stay that elicits varied reactions, with guests enjoying spacious, clean rooms that boast pool views and are family-friendly, though some have encountered maintenance and noise issues. While the hotel's amenities, including a pool, on-site dining at Smokey Joe's, and live music events, are generally well-received, there are calls for modernization. The location wins points for cleanliness and accessibility, but service quality seems inconsistent, ranging from commendable to slow. Cleanliness overall is a strong suit, complementing the comfortable atmosphere, despite some guests finding the promotional photos misleading.

The Ramada offers hotel accommodation away from the busy areas of Hervey Bay which is very good.
When we arrived we did have good service from the young man at Reception. However, with several different people at Reception over a few days, there was very little liaison with information requests, etc. We could not fault the size of our first floor room overlooking the lovely pool area. King bed was most comfortable with crisp white bedding. No heating in the room but a very adequate portable heater to use. Bathroom was quite basic with small supply of toiletries but towels were changed daily. Included breakfast was quite a 'it and miss' affair: some days there was a very good supply and others very little left; cold fried eggs were not good either. Breakfast is advertised as being available for three hours but getting down to eat after one hour or service you have to take chance for what is left. Underground carpark is a good addition. Although the security gate was never closed so access for anyone to get in there.
What is the complication of this Hotel is that it is very difficult to find your room. Reception does not offer any assistance with luggage and to get to one section of the outer rooms it requires two lifts and some walking - with no clear indication of which rooms are where.
Despite all this, the location of the Hotel is ideal for some and, therefore, worth recommending.

We had a 3 days trip to Hervey Bay for the purpose of Wale watching, the hotel location was just 2 min walking to reach out to the boat deck. one of the best locations.
Our room was in the main building which faces the main street, which might be quieter than the rooms facing the pool and near the bar.
Every two rooms are in one block which separates with a door from the main corridor, The main problem was the sound of doors, if your neighbor shut the door it makes a very loud noise if you slept that really bother!
The sheets were clean, but cutlery not, which we didn't use.
There is no room service because of Covid which I prefer no one enters our room while we're staying.
The breakfast was a really reasonable buffet, but because of Covid, you need to ask staff to give you whatever you want that I don't like that! that doesn't make sense for a buffet breakfast.
Totally we enjoyed our time there, and would recommend staying in Ramada :)

The Ramada Resort Hervey Bay is situated at a great location near the marina, only 400 m to the harbour area. You only need to walk 6 - 7 minutes to the marina for your dining experience, a little shopping, and most importantly whale watching tours.

The swimming pool is absolutely perfect for everyone. The swimming pool was right in front of my room, it was even a direct access from my room!

The staff were very friendly, and checkin & checkout procedures were nice and quick.

The restaurant was such an experience! Any seafood menu is excellent, I reckon. My seafood paella was very good for the first night, and the salmon was perfectly cooked, and those local oysters were jaw-dropping tasty, and the size was so big! I ordered half dozen of oysters for entree, but it was like a meal!

The bed was really comfortable. I slept well. Clean beddings, and a great quality bed.

The shower room was pretty large. There was a big glass door, so the water nicely stayed inside of the shower room. The bathroom amenities were pretty simple & basic. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap bar.
The shower was very good.

TV has got a chrome cast feature, so you can stream your favourite YouTube videos with your own devices.
Of course, there’s WiFi available too.

You still need to drive if you would like to go to the beach in Torquay, Scarness, Pialba, and Point Vernon areas along Charlton Esplanade.
10 to 15 minutes drive to Scarness, and 8 to 10 minutes drive to Torquay.
Only 5 minutes drive to the popular destination “Urangan Pier”.

Overall, it was such a lovely stay at Hervey Bay. I’ll definitely go back there.

We stayed here Australia week-end.
We felt it was good idea due to being close to our nephew who was living close by and it offered under cover parking however two out of the three nights it was difficult parking and had to park outside as not enough under cover parking spaces.
We found our room distance on how to get to it some what strange ups and twists and turns.
The bathroom a little small as far as putting our bathroom needs at the vanity not much room.
I found my bed a little uncomfortable.
The veranda was spacious with out door setting.
The pool looked good.
Breakfast was great with a good choice and breakfast staff very friendly.
On arrival I found the lady at check in some what shape in her manner in welcoming us but as the week-end went on she seem to improve.
We had a eco room so your room wasn't serviced so you need to collect your own clean towels and shower needs.
The reason I wanted to stay here was for under cover secure parking which really wasn't available unless your first in first served.
Would we stay again ? It's difficult to say but probably only if I couldn't find a better alternative.

Great location, friendly staff, generous sized rooms.
We had a studio room and it was a good size with a comfy king sized bed.
The location was perfect for us as we went diving and just had to walk down the road for 200m. Plenty of good restaurants nearby and walking distance to the pier and markets. We hired bikes to explore one day - highly recommend that. We didn't realise the hotel actually hires bikes, we will get them there next time.
Also got a nice discount when we extended for two more nights.
We stayed in February and it was fairly quiet. All rooms overlook the pool but don't worry about noise, with the doors shut you don't hear a thing! Great insulation!!

Stayed at this hotel for four nights and was unimpressed. Our room was on floor level and we could hear everything the people above us did until all hours of the night. Went out to complain and there was nil reception (none between 7pm-5am). The walls and roof are definitely not sound proof. The parking is not allocated per room so it’s a free for all. We went out for dinner on Thursday night and when we returned there will nil parks- we had to park down the street on the side of the road. It was like that the entire duration of our stay. We opted to have breakfast at their restaurant- the older female lady has absolutely ZERO customer service skills. She was rude, disinterested and diners could hear her arguing and fighting with the chef. That aside, the breakfast food was surprisingly lovely and nil faults. All in all, I would not stay again.

Our stay at the Ramada Hervey Bay was a last minute booking due to the Brisbane lockdown and I was so happy with the choice. Our one bedroom apartment was a great size with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The pool and spa were great, each had varying temperatures but were all suitable for swimming. We dined one night in the restaurant which had a good selection of pub-style meals with generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. I would not hesitate to stay here again. It can be a bit tough to find a parking space undercover in the evening. Smoking is allowed on balconies which isn't overly pleasant.

We paid $686 for 2 nights here. The light in bathroom was a Floor that flicked and cut out yes I mean went out. The toilet seat was wonky, slipping off the side. We booked at the restaurant for dinner and it took at least an hour for our meals to arrive. Most disappointing of all was the ‘security car parking’ there simply is not enough. Totally inadequate. We have stayed many times at Ramada In Ballina where there are no issues with undercover secure parking. Many, a lot of
Guests on the second night we stayed had to park off site in the streets surrounding the ‘resort’. For this kind of money I expect more. Originally I had requested our travel agent book us into the Oaks and with integrity the oaks informed us prior there were renovations taking place so we switched our booking to the Ramada. We should have stayed at the oaks as believe it or not we were woken up by builders working onsite at the Ramada (anyway).

We travelled to Hervey Bay to celebrate our wedding anniversary and husband's birthday.
Ramada is conveniently located to Marina (for sunset cruises) and restaurants. Booked a 1 bed apartment located on ground floor which had immediate access to pools (1 spa, 1 heated pool and 1 normal temperature). Just be mindful of railing on ramp in main pool is a bit wobbly
Facilities in 1 bed apartment included laundry, full kitchen, patio - great king size bed.
On site car parking underneath hotel.
Front Reception staff were great - special mention to Adam who facilitated our use of their bicycles so that we could self tour the Esplanade and local markets.

Definitely will return

A lovely room, stayed in a king suite on the ground floor with direct access to the pool, sofa bed was used for the kids. Very clean, neat and tidy, all the amenities you need with washer, dryer, oven, stove ect ect with plenty of space for everyone 2 adults with 2 kids under 6. Great location.

The only issue I have is if your staying in the Lillie or Poppies buildings you’ve got a hike on your hands as these buildings don’t have direct access to the car park. Your journey is car park to the lift — up to reception level — out of lift through a walkway past the restaurant and out the door, then a left or right turn to your buildings which is covered (it was raining while I was moving bags) — then through two card locked doors and made it to the unit.

If your on the second level of these buildings you can add a walk up stairs or another lift ride to your travel.

They do have a few porter trolleys to help move bags but if it’s a busy check in / check out they may not be available

Along with the Aussie Zoo which is must do especiallly with children, there is also the Reef World Aquarium at Mooloolaba. A drive up into the Hinterland and Glass Mountains is always pleasant. As for Hervey Bay, not a lot too offer other than the Beach and Fraser Island tours, Fishing Charters. Can also take tours to Fraser from Noosa and when their try out the Camel Ride along the beach, great fun. Your two days could be spent in either Mooloolaba or Maroochydore as Brisbane is only 1 hour 15 minutes max down the highway. All of the above can be done from any of these stopovers from Noosa south. Have a wonderful trip.
