Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a great 2 night stay here in one of the ocean view rooms with a balcony. Huge comfortable room with every amenity you could wish for Deep spa bath with a very powerful shower over, comfoibed, well equipped kitchenette. 2 very comfy chairs with footrests and of course a view to die for. Also plenty of free parking. Very nice cafe next door for breakfasts if you didn't want to do your own. Helpful guy on reception when checking on. Thanks all for a lovely stay.

We enjoyed a seafront room - plenty of space, two comfortable armchairs and footrests, great range of teas and coffees (Nespresso machine was a bonus), lovely bathroom including a spa bath. Bed was really comfortable and place was very clean and looked after. No hesitating recommending the White Morph.

Great location, friendly staff, spacious room, comfy beds and chairs. All good. The breakfast tray has too much on it, we had some for lunch. The shower is excellent though the extractor fan didn't work so we steamed the place up a bit. Highly recommend this place.

Our two night stay was very comfortable with the room providing all the necessities, including plenty of tea and coffee sachets etc which are always welcome. Our rooms were not overlooking the water and next time I would definitely ask for one of those. The location of the hotel is very convenient to all the activities in the area.

We stayed in a garden room and it was very noticeable that this hotel is extremely well taken care of. Every detail was taken into account, super clean and in excellent condition. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay. If in the area, check out the seal colony at Ohua Point; literally hundreds of seals and pups by the sea. And stay at this hotel!

Our room was amazing with a gorgeous view from the balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. An added bonus was the wonderful spa bath which was needed after a day of sightseeing and whale watching. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again if it’s available!

We upgraded to a sea view with a sea view and huge spa bath which was excellent and not expensive. An excellent bed and reclining chairs with good double glazing, which ensured the road doesn’t bother you. Great kitchen facilities and a heated bathroom floor. The view is outstanding and parking was simple with lots of spaces. Plenty of bars and restaurants a 10 mins walk along the coast. The garden rooms looked great too and looked very quiet with seating area and plenty of sunshine.

Very nice motel, the only problem was we had trouble finding it. Even the gps in the car couldn’t find it. But once we got there we were very comfortable. We went to Kaikoura to do the Albatross cruise, which turned out to be right next door. They even have a clothes line, complete with pegs out the back so we didn’t have to use the dryer, which I appreciated.

Had a great 2 night stay at the White Morph. Unfortunately we didn’t get a sea view but enjoyed watching the NZ Banksy in his cherry picker painting dolphins on the side of the cinema next door! Our room had a small kitchenette and fridge,2 ringed hob and small oven and microwave. It was clean with plenty of towels and air con throughout. A couple of minor issues were sorted out very quickly by reception and there was plenty of parking. It’s right next to Dolphin Encounter and as we had a 5:20 am slot we were greatful it was just a stroll next door! A comfortable stay - we would just have loved an ocean view!
