We stayed three nights here. The room was a good size, with a well equipped kitchen which we used to prepare breakfast as no meals available from the motel. Bathroom was good size, wifi worked well and comfortable lounge to sit on to watch TV unlike many motels where you sit on the bed. Quiet location about five mins drive from main Kaikoura area. Only negative was lack of air cond or a fan in the room but plenty of windows to open. We enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed one night in a studio. Ideal and motel clean, modern and comfortable.
Kitchen was well equipped. This motel is about 3 minutes drive from the shopping area or 20 minutes walking. The Pier Hotel is opposite and ideal for seafood meals although you would need to book.

Stayed just the one night in the tea and coffee unit which is a studio but does have a toaster, jug and plates and cutlery etc. So you could eat breakfast or any meal if it didn't need heating up. A microwave would be a great addition but then you would have to add microwave equipment.
The room was light with windows on 2 sides and a small view of the sea.
The staff were very friendly and pointed out dolphin swimming when they were cleaning the unit next to ours.
Very quiet and happy to recommend the Admiral Court Motel.

Situated along the scenic foreshore of Kaikoura, this motel provides excellent service. It is well presented and inviting in appearance. The room we were in had a panoramic view of the sea and snow-covered mountains. It was fully equipped for independent living, bed and furniture were comfortable and in excellent condition, bathroom and shower were fresh and clean, parking was convenient, and room service emphasized environmental consciousness. Barbara and Tony were attentive hosts, informative, and as hospitable as anyone could wish for. The tariff was very reasonable for the excellent provisions of this motel. While we stayed only two nights, we have made a further forward booking. Having stayed in Kaikoura on a number of occasions, we will henceforth make the Admiral Court Motel our local home away from home.

This motel is in a good location close to the seal colony , with partial views of the ocean and a short walk to an excellent pub for dinner.
The room was clean and had plenty of light. The bathroom was very small with a small shower.
Other rooms had a verandah where you could sit outside and enjoy the view. Not all these rooms were booked for the night and I wish we had been offered one of these when we arrived. I would have gladly spent more money if I had known they were available.

The room and location was actually really nice. Lovely outlook and quiet area. However our unit (number 9) was directly underneath the living quarters of the owners/operators. There were signs everywhere telling us what type of parties were not allowed the irony being that we were kept away ourselves but what was happening upstairs. We have been on the road for a month touring and working every night and sleep is paramount. Despite the lovely room none of us got a good sleep. They were up late talking and all walking above could be heard loudly in our rooms. Then they were making noise from 7:45 am and we were all woken early. Terrible sleep. Lovely spot but either sound proof it, don’t make noise when people are in it or don’t rent it out. Disappointed and fatigued as a result of staying here. Sure the other rooms are great.

Quite small and not much equipped.
No outlook.
I guess bigger rooms are better.
Guidance on dining when checking in would have been helpful as despite rapidly reducing tourist numbers we could not eat locally for dinner.

We paid an extra $25 to upgrade to a sea view room. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and look out at the sea. The room was very clean, tidy and well appointed. We only stayed for a night to whale watching the next day. It was lovely to get to stay here and I could have happily stayed another night.

We stayed at the Admiral Court Motel as it was not in the busy downtown area.
The place was top notch. We had a great room with a deck that looked out to the water & the mountain range in the distance (they had snow on them the next morning-no wonder it was a nippy night). The owners were friendly, the room was clean & had everything in that we required. We would certainly recommend.

Modern and very roomy with separate seating in comfortable chairs plus table and chairs. Great bathroom also very roomy. Sadly no ocean view but there could be other units that get a glimpse. Found the bed way too firm for my liking but overall a great unit. Cafe table and chairs outside for coffee on a sunny day. We were just over night but if you were staying for a few days or more this would be a great unit in that situation. Meticulously clean.
