Was disappointed with the cleanliness of our unit especially during Covid when everything is supposed to be deep cleaned. Light switches wall & floor not clean. Bed was full of wrinkles & had to be remade to be comfortable.
We stayed here 3 nights during a South Island bike trip. It is bike friendly, clean quiet modern and has an enclosed courtyard.. The unit was serviced daily and the manager/owner was helpful and friendly. Location was ideal for us while riding the Wilderness Trail which was only 1 block away and about 1km from town. The unit had a huge lounge area but the carpet had some wrinkles which indicated a replacement was due. We were happy with our stay, pricing was moderate. Would we recommend this. Yes very much so.
We went to Hokitika for a break away for a couple of days. We had a great stay, it was lovely & quiet, very clean & comfortable. Everything we needed. We had a great shower & spa bath. The owner was very friendly , nothing was a problem.
We stayed 2 nights and our unit was quiet and everything we needed. It had a spa bath which was enjoyable after our days sightseeing. We had a hotplate to make our meals. Our unit was serviced after our first night stay so we had fresh linen for our 2nd night stay. Staff were very friendly
Although the motel is not on the main road like most of the others in Hokitika it is a great location in a residential area and very quiet. The train line to the dairy factory is not as close as it is to other motels. We walked in to town in about 10-15 minutes or it is a less than 5 minute drive. This is a very tidy, high quality, yet not over priced, motel. The units are spacious with a large lounge and separate bedroom. Really good to have a full range of Sky TV channels and excellent, high speed, easy to use internet connection. Very comfortable bed and really good lighting in both lounge and above bed for reading. We both enjoyed a great shower. Kitchen well stocked. Extra little touches were the plunger coffee and pot and toilet spray in the bathroom. Also liked the glass on top of the bedside cabinets. Friendly, helpful owner who provided an excellent recommendation of the Pioneer Hotel for a pub style evening meal and we got a discount on our food too!…
