Frances and Brian were lovely and the yard & deck are very beautiful. The location is right off the main drag and beach, very walkable. We had an excellent breakfast of yogurt, cereal AND homemade eggs, ham, toast, tea or coffee. Brian even helped us with our broken suitcase. Everything was squeaky clean as well.

We had the warmest welcome from our hosts, a lovely room in the garden which included a jacuzzi bath and a great breakfast with homemade muffins at a table with the other guests . Couldn’t better it.

From the moment we were welcomed by Francis and Brian, we were made to feel so welcome. The rooms were beautiful, the breakfast was a great start our day. Drinks on the outdoor patio was a fantastic way to unwind and celebrate with friends.

Incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic hosts, cozy garden cottage, with spa bath, heated bathroom floor, fluffy bathrobes and nice toiletries.

We stayed one night at this old fashioned B&B. It was great! Our hosts Francis and Brian were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was comfortable and airy with exclusive use of a shower and toilet across the hall.
A good breakfast was a communal affair with other guests and our hosts. It felt very homely.
As it was pouring with rain when we checked out Brian kindly walked us to our car with an umbrella as we carried our bags. Service doesn’t get much more personal than that.
Highly recommended.

Wow wonderful stay here. The house was beautiful and immaculately presented. The hosts Francis and Brian were welcoming, friendly and so knowledgeable sharing history and recommendations. We loved Francis sharing the history of the house and town. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms were outstanding and immaculate. The bed was so comfortable I had trouble leaving the next morning. Thankyou both for welcoming us all into your beautiful home. A true highlight of our trip.

We loved everything about this BnB. Its location right in the heritage heart of Hokitika. it's beautiful rooms, devine breakfasts, suggestions on places to visit and entertaining stories. A glass of port, homemade cake , excellent breakfast. And central heating!
Very, very comfortable rooms. The Hoskins room at the back was quiet and has a great size ensuite.
There is also a lovely lounge to mix and meet other guests.

Brian and Frances provided a warm welcome to our family of four. We were wet with bikes, on the Wilderness Trail. They helped with our bikes, Brian very kindly cleaned them. Sorted out our wet gear and helped to warm us up with tea and biscuits. Our rooms were beautifully equiped. The beds were very comfortable. This is a lovely historic house and a "must stay" on the West Coast. The breakfast provided was of exceptional quality and all home made. Thank you so much for making the end of our little holiday so wonderful!
