3 of us stayed at this motel after completing the Paparoa Track via the Croesus track. Charging an excessive $240 a night for a 2 bedroom suite I challenge how this motel can classify itself as a 4 star accommodation. There was nothing special in what was being offered to differentiate itself from other accomodation providers and I feel that the $240 charge is too high and therefore I can’t recommend it to others. I suggest that before you choose this motel make sure that you have researched other options. I believe that $180 would be more appropriate.

We stayed at the Fitzherbert Court Motel for two nights on our way down the West Coast. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and fresh and serviced each day. Our bed was comfy too. We had everything we needed and were able to cook a simple meal. Parking was convenient with good turning space. The motel is situated very close to supermarkets, eateries and shops in Hokitika. Reception had information on local walks and activities. We found this motel met all our needs. Thank you !

We stayed two nights while cycling the west coast wilderness ride. This motel was perfect with lots of room for our bikes and nice clean rooms. Easy distance to walk or cycle to town. The train rumbles past but not too noisy and not during the night

We stayed here in a 2 bdm with another couple for 3 nights whilst doing the West Coast Wilderness Trail and it was great! Worked well for the 4 of us, clean, roomy and nice to be able to prepare food etc in the kitchen and really helpful being able to use the laundry each day (for a fee) for our biking gear. Karen was lovely to deal with.
We left our bikes at Wilderness Trail Shuttle premises each night as we had a car and that worked out well.

Little bit out of Town Centre, but not a biggie (10-15 min walk).
Limited TV channels, we look for Freeview and a number of Sky channels as the mininium, and with local competition would have thought this standard.
No Gym or xtra facilities, a functional solid Motel

Great Motel, service outstanding, manager Paula very helpful and informative. We had four nights and we were really comfortable. Happy to recommend, easily located as you come into Hokitika from Greymouth. Attractive to cyclists as large car park with easy turning with bikes on the back of the car. With COVID-19 things have been tough on the Westcoast but no complaints and very positive staff.definitely would recommend.

Very, very out dated. Sack the cleaner! 5am in the morning train ran right behind our room. Bed was ok. Would never stay there again. Really have nothing great to say about the accomodation, except the dishes looked cleaned

This accommodation was another that was wonderful and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Car park right outside our door and the price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend. Even though is was on the main road out of town it was very quiet.

Older style Motel but very clean and tidy. What a shame they haven't spent money on double glazing to stop the road and rail noise. We would not stay again because of the noise alone. If double glazing was installed we would return
