Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a fab two nights stay with Kevin and Jules in their beautiful boutique park with amazing facilities immaculately clean and maintained, wonderful host Kevin taking guests daily for free to see the glowworms, fresh eggs to purchase from their hens that you can also go and feed along with the eels on the stream. Everything has been thought of and is here and never found more attentive hosts. Thank you for an amazing stay, we will be back one day and not forgetting your adorable pup Rusty 🐾❤️ x

Immaculate camp facilities. What made this stay so memorable was our hosts who invited everyone from the campground to Christmas dinner. Beautiful food, great company and plenty of laughs. I would recommend to anyone plenty to see and do and hosts are very knowledgeable about what to see and do in the area.

The motorhome camp hosts are wonderful people who go way out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. They have a really lovely communal room and kitchen for visitors. Couldn't be nicer to stay here. There are eels in the river you can feed. Dogs are welcome. They don't have a dump site but there's on in Hokitika

An amazing experience. We went for one night and stayed 4. Our hosts were the best, from shuttling us on the Wilderness Trail to having coffee at the park and in town, not to speak of 5.00 drinks on the deck. Beautifully clean and tidy with thought having gone into the way the amenities block has been set up. Best we have seen.
Make sure you visit the eels and see Wally the Highland ex-bull.

Stay here if you are in Hokitika. Kevin and Julien are great hosts, super friendly and helpful. We took their canoes up the waterways to the lake. What a lovely half day experience. Really clean and tidy. Would stay here again.

Well presented camping ground. Fantastic clean and homely facilities. Jules and Kevin were brilliant hostess/host… very helpful and caring. The Wilderness trail was easy to access. Close to Hokitika. We will definitely be back. John and Tracey
