Liked · A nice spacious 2 Bedroom apartment with all the trimmings, including a seat 6 Dining Room Table.
With a Queen Size Bed & Single Bed in each bedroom there is a host of sleeping options if you bring the Family Tribe with you, otherwise it's a take your pick of a bed.
The Bathroom is BIG with a cubicle Shower Unit, personally I found the cubicle shower a wee bit small for washing all parts a Man has to wash BUT the wife thought it fine, maybe I should just lose some weight.
Parking was right at your Unit's front door so there was no lugging of bags up stairs or any nearby distance.

Disliked · The Wi-Fi was not up to scratch for a supposed leading Motel. The Internet would either drop-out completely or annoyingly just cut in & out.
A person travelling for work or in the case of my wife (who is a School Principal & is always on the computer) may well have lost valuable data & work notes.
As for me being a Recreational Punter who loves nothing better than relaxing with a beer & having a few TAB punts on the Internet, it was a nightmare.

We are three couples travel down NZ a new place each day until we get to Invercargill and so far this is the best accommodation by far yet very reasonably priced.
The accommodation was modern 2 bed apartment very clean and spacious.
Linen and towels fresh clean.
Easy walk to town.
Parking outside room.
Bed large firm and perfect with cool soft sheets.

Next time down this way will book to stay here.

Having driven up the west coast for a few hours, when I walked into the reception area of the Jade Court Motor Lodge, I was a little disappointed by the lukewarm welcome I was given - especially when compared to other places I’d stayed at in NZ. Once I had my key and an idea where to go, I asked for two recommendations: somewhere to get a good salad meal for dinner and where to go for a nice walk beforehand. Her answers of: “Subway” and “go to the beach” really didn’t inspire me !!! The room was actually very good - clean and well appointed. And the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom tidy and functional. However, halfway through my evening shower, I noticed a large pool of water had gathered outside. Having checked the door was correctly shut (it was) I noticed an extra piece of rubber seal had been glued to the door, so the owners were obviously well aware of this problem. It needs to be addressed before someone (less vigilant than me) slips over and injures themselves.

This was a comfortable motel close to the town centre yet in a quiet location. Unlike many similar establishments it provided a full kitchen range, including a conventional oven as well as hot plates. It met all my needs.
Well worth patronising.

This is the second time I’ve stopped here in the last four years, and yet again it didn’t disappoint. The units are very spacious, I even had one with a separate twin bedded room, and the WiFi is good. It’s only a short walk to the centre of town and even though it’s on the main road, the sound of traffic is hardly noticeable.
The new managers are both welcoming and pleasant. Would definitely stop here again if I pass through.

We got an excellent deal on booking.com to bring our 2 kiddies down to explore Hokitika for my husband's birthday. Our booking was spot on, they had even placed us in the middle units (away from road and rail lines as we requested) and the room was fully equipt for the 4 of us. We stayed in room 9 it was clean, tidy, comfortable, spacious and smelt lovely and parking was right at the door (great for the wet weather the wild coast put on for us hehe) the check in and check out process was smooth, service was friendly and hospitable and we definately would be keen to stay here again next time we return to the coast. Location is also so close to all the attractions and town centre.

Jade Court is perfectly located and really comfortable. Hokitika is a small town and the Motel is located close to both the beach and local shops. The Motels' owners are very chilled and accommodating and our 4 day stay could not have been better. Jade Court offers the perfect base for your trip to the region and my family and I thoroughly recommend this motel for your next visit.

Our family stayed just one night here as we traveled around the South Island. The first question I ask the desk clerk, (who was rather snippy), was if WiFi was available, as we were traveling with teenagers. She said yes, but after checking in, we found it did not work. When we reported this to her, she informed us she was not in charge of the internet, had nothing to do with the internet, and was unable to give us a refund because her boss was 9 hours away and couldn’t be reached. She was unapologetic and angry that the guest were all complaining. The rooms were clean but I felt the rate was much higher than other places we stayed. We were very disappointed and in the 2 weeks we traveled around the South Island, this was our only bad experience.

We have a family room, it was lovely very clean. Double glazing so rooms are quiet even though your in between a railway line and the road but did hear any noise. Owner was lovely and nothing was a problem. Beds were all very comfortable and was very clean. The shower was amazing so powerful. Close to everything and easy parking. Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.

This motel had several one story rooms grouped loosely around a nice garden which had picnic tables. We arrived around 8 PM and there was no receptionist. Our key was in an envelope taped on the door with a room number on it. No map showing location. Had some difficulty parking since there was no defined spaces next to the room. Used very small 2 burner cooktop for dinner. There not a propane grill on site as promised. The kitchenette had a few pots and pans and plates for 3. Tiny refrigerator with a small freezer. The room was very clean and set up well. Very nice shower. Room had a queen bed which was comfy and a twin bed. Receptionist was about 20 minutes late the next morning.
