We have a family room, it was lovely very clean. Double glazing so rooms are quiet even though your in between a railway line and the road but did hear any noise. Owner was lovely and nothing was a problem. Beds were all very comfortable and was very clean. The shower was amazing so powerful. Close to everything and easy parking. Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.
Clean tidy accommodation with all the facilities required for a one night stay. Within walking distance to town, bars and supermarkets...good chippy round the corner. Clean and comfortable at a good price.
The photos tell the story. It's nothing flash, then again it's not that expensive. But the beds were comfy and the shower piping hot. We got the 2 bedroom suite, but the queen bed was in the living areas and the two singles in a separate room which was slightly odd, but no big deal. Rooms can get a little chilly in the mornings. The free wi-fi was a little temperamental so I used 3G network instead. Motel is close to food and supermarket. Reception wasn't staffed all the time, but it didn't bother us as we didn't need anything anyway.
My second stay here in 18 months. I assume it has changed ownership since last time - either that or they had more reception staff. As before, room well presented, clean and comfortable, no complaints there. 5-10 minute walk into town for bars and restaurants, a reasonable choice of outlets for a small town. Light sleepers may get woken by a goods train lumbering past about 0530-0600. Plus there is the occasional heavy truck on SH6 now and again. Most units are located well back from the road, though that puts them closer to the railway, but there is only the one train. I would still use this motel if passing through the area.
This motel had several one story rooms grouped loosely around a nice garden which had picnic tables. We arrived around 8 PM and there was no receptionist. Our key was in an envelope taped on the door with a room number on it. No map showing location. Had some difficulty parking since there was no defined spaces next to the room. Used very small 2 burner cooktop for dinner. There not a propane grill on site as promised. The kitchenette had a few pots and pans and plates for 3. Tiny refrigerator with a small freezer. The room was very clean and set up well. Very nice shower. Room had a queen bed which was comfy and a twin bed. Receptionist was about 20 minutes late the next morning.
