Detailed Reviews
We stayed with Lin & Colin for only one night but couldn't fault the facilities; the rooms were very comfortable and clean, with a spacious & well equipped en-suite. The guest lounge is upstairs to make the best of the views of the sea and the mountains, although some drizzly weather stopped us seeing them at their best. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and nibbles and the following morning the breakfast was great. When staying here, make sure that you visit the (free) gloworm dell. We found eating out in Hokitika a bit difficult as it was the countdown to the wild food festival and most eating places were full so make sure you book up - Lin & Colin will advise!

Professional B&B, run by Colin. We got to hear a lot of the surroundings, spent quality time talking to him and his experience with the dynamic New Zealand climate (while we were there a bridge washed out because of heavy flooding, which made us make a detour of our originally planned route). Lovely Indian restaurant in the town!

We stayed one night with Lin and Colin who were friendly and welcoming. Our room though not large was clean and comfortable as was the en suite. Tea and coffee facilities were not in the room but readily available in the guests lounge upstairs. A nice place to stay and lovely town to visit, with lots of crafty shops.

Comfortable room and first class breakfast. Colin is pleasant & helpful.
A long walk from the centre but, if you have wheels, ideal.
There is an upstairs lounge with all sorts of facilities including use of a fridge, coffee making and so on. And an excellent view!
Hokitika is well worth visiting. A nice place with a good small museum and some interesting shops. Someone is heavily into making 'beach art' with driftwood on the beach!

Only stayed for a night but room very comfy and clean, couldn't wish for a more friendly helpful host, great place to stay.
Stayed en route to the Haast pass but due to the weather the pass was closed, was able to use the PC and phone to check conditions, great host.
