A new family owned and operated park built in 2016/2017, it is well laid out and great value for money. There are 12 rooms including bunk rooms, queen cabins and motel studio units. Additionally, there are 60 powered sites and 10 tent sites. And the best playground close by - with a three-story fort, a pirate ship and a flying fox/zipline. Come and enjoy a relaxing break with us!

Only stayed here one night on our way to the glaciers but will definitely be back! Brand New kitchen that was a cook's paradise with everything you need! Owner checking us in was lovely and the park was spotless. Really nice place to stay.

Clean and tidy. Super friendly staff! We had to do a late Check in and they left a map for us so we could find our room easily. They always answer the phone even if it is late at night and they are happy to help. Kitchen was very clean and cosy. Toilets are outside so it might be a problem if it's raining. The only drawback is that we had to hire the linen and pay $5 per bed. I sent an email requesting for towels as well but they didn't put towels in our room. But in general I liked it. They have a lot of green spaces so it's great for kids.

Lovely large sites, incredible playground for all ages and clean and spacious facilities. Hosts very accommodating of our caravan, awning, boat and tent and gave us extra sites at no charge (mid January).
One of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in.

We stayed in a standard family cabin for one night, which had an adjoining door to the cabin and family next door. There was no sound proofing and all their noise was well heard in our room, which made for a long night and very early morning. The room itself was clean, tidy and warm.
The kitchen facilities were really good and very clean and tidy. The showers were in need of a good clean with mould evident.
The playground was great and loved by our kids.
We would stay again, just not in a cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay here, such an awesome campground. The campground is a great size - not too big with playground/facilities in the middle and very close to every site. The kids loved the playground, the facilities were very clean and tidy. The braziers provided with firewood available to buy were an awesome touch and the kids really enjoyed roasting marshmallows.

My friend and I stayed in a Campavan overnight. The grounds were tidy. We had a picnic table where we parked to use. The showers and toilets were clean and tidy. We paid the average price charged for a powered site. I saw the cleaners in the morning. The owner was helpful by helping us take off the stand of our dining room table as we were unable to. I would recommend staying here.

This place was pretty average. The kitchen facility’s were great and the rooms were clean and tidy.
The bathrooms however could do with an upgrade. Doors needed to be leaned on to close and trying to get dresses after a shower was near impossible.
The lady at the front desk didn’t seem interested and just wanted to get me out.

Hi Lucy, I'm super sorry your experience was a feeling of being disregarded, I hope it won't put you off coming again. After moving onsite and using the bathrooms I understand the challenges of getting dressed and we are putting in additional hooks and an extra shelf for people clothing/gear. Thanks for the feedback and please come back and check us out again.

Was only here a few hours , but calling at 11pm on the Sunday in the middle of Easter weekmed and being able to stay here with my son instead of the apaulimg accomadation we stayed in. We were lucky enough they had a bunk room we could sleep in before returning home , the best way me and my son can describe it was sleeping in a warm marshmallow, the beds were soft and warm and comfterble. Wish we had more time to explore the park and facility's however my son did sneak in a sneaky go on the awesome flying fox before leaving :) and the playground is awesome

While not right in the township of Hokitika it is a very quick drive or cycle to get there. You get the benefit of quietness with the exception of hearing the waves from the beach and excellent facilities. I have a week in a bunk room with lots of space as there is capacity for 4 and am here for a week and could easily and comfortably stay longer.

Stayed one night in our van and was pleasantly surprised.
Bathroom facilities were spacious and clean, the lounge and kitchens well laid out and welcoming.
Personally love the lay out of the camp, it certainly appeals to my OCD personality.
Staff were helpful and very easy to deal with.
Compared to other places we have stopped we would definitely say this place was value for money and will return next time with our children.
