Excellent accomodation; tastefully furnished, comfortable bed, great kitchen facilities, quiet and warm, super shower and notably excellent lighting, really well thought out. We had dinner at the restaurant which was humming as on our last visit, tasty generous meals and a lovely family atmosphere. Attentive staff and friendly service. I can’t fault the job Bernie and his lovely family and staff are doing here, fully recommend, this is our second stay and we’ll be back! Thank you all.

My friends and I had an awesome stay at the Paroa hotel recently. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. Off street parking was handy as well. The food in the restaurant was first class (especially the whitebait!!) as was the substantial breakfast. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Many thanks to Bernie and Alan for a memorable stay and we would thoroughly recommend the Paroa Hotel to all travelers on the West Coast.

My husband and I stayed on 4 Oct 20. From the outside it looks pretty much like all the buildings in the area, but step inside and you are taken back to when people were still interested in people. The hosts Bernie and Alan greeted us with a firm handshake - this is something I really value. Bernie was ultra charming - wink wink. It was like seeing a favorite uncle that you haven't seen for years. The room was fabulous but the SHOWER was to die for. Trust me, just trust me. It was a Sunday Eve and every man and his dog was there for dinner - probably because of the unbelievable value for money and the huge portions - and it was delicious. We had more than enough left for breakfast. Goodbyes were sad. Hugs and more handshakes - I really felt like I was leaving family. I cannot recommend highly enough... and I am not easy to please.

Stopped for one night and big warm welcome by Bernie and Cath. Modern room which was immaculate. Food in restaurant was top notch. Cath took an interest in our plans and was very helpful on any queries. Location beside the beach allowed us to see a wonderful sunset. Great stay!
