My wife and I and our two daughters spent 1 night at Greymouth Motel. The accommodation was spacious and clean and consisted of 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in one room and 2 single beds in the other room. There was also a separate open plan lounge and kitchen area. The beds were comfortable and the facilities including parking next to the apartment were adequate and convenient. The location of the motel is good as it is close to the beach and other scenic attractions. Coal creek falls is a 10 minute drive away and Hokitika Gorge is less than an hour’s drive away. Overall, the Motel was a good convenient stop-over.

Stayed here many many years ago and got a good deal on line so I gave it a whirl .These units have had a good up grade and are now a clean tidy and very warm motel units. Owners are very friendly and helpful and the units have all the right things all motel units should have. Bed and shower was excellent. I would stay here again .

It was the “no worries” attitude of the owner who made this trip so good. We booked last minute to visit a sick family member and had to bring a small dog as there was no time to book him in a kennel. The owner was so easy to deal with and nothing was an issue (had to call him twice from Christchurch with questions).
The room was older style but it was so clean! I will admit that I was nervous booking so quickly and arriving late in the evening (could have been a disaster) but I was pleasantly surprised to find the beds all impeccably made, the bathroom was clean, as was the kitchen. Little bit of road noise as mentioned in other reviews but this place is on the main road also it’s Greymouth and traffic wasn’t constant all night… it’s also just up the road from the hospital and in easy reach of everything you need. I would book again.

A good basic motel Great service and handy to all. Restraunt next door is cheap and good. Strongly recommend this motel to any one looking for a motel of value for money. Easy to find on main road handy to shops etc

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Beds are semi hard (which suited me) and units are spacious. There is a playground for small children with the wooden table, BBQ, laundry. Handy to the beach (2min walk across the road) to view the coolest sunsets!

I love this place its clean and tidy with a great range of beds. But the thing I like the most is the old decor it reminds me of visiting my grandmas house as a kid. You get all the sky channels including the movies etc which a lot of places seem to not have. Also has a great info book the motel has put together to help you know what to do.

Comfortable and with all the amenities you need, quiet with great friendly staff plenty of parking. Rooms were clean and tidy the accommodation was spacious with having bigger rooms. Lots of options for food with pub next door and supermarket close by.

This was a great little motel located located on the main road leading into Greymouth. The rooms were large, clean and had a newly renovated bathroom. The manager was amazingly friendly and offered us some bikes to tour around Greymouth for the day free of charge. The manager was always around and the motel seemed very safe. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is on the way out of town. Quiet enough location and value for money. We stayed as a family of four and had just enough room. As we only stayed over night we didn’t make use of the kitchen facilities etc but they looked clean. We had undercover parking outside the room which was handy too

We wanted to stay in Hokitika but the only available rooms were over $160 (NZ) so the I-shop found the least expensive kitchenette in the area. It is very clean but located on the main highway so noisy. Bring older, it does not have AC which is normally fine but we visited during the one hot week of the year.
