We stayed at this lovely place for two days and loved it. It's located a bit outside Whangarei, but only a few minutes drive. The room were lovely and so were the grounds. They have an operating farm with cows, sheeps, hens (and probably more which we didn't see) and a nice pool area. The breakfast was also nice but...

Thankyou for your very nice review of Lupton Lodge, we are very glad that you enjoyed your stay. I have noted your comments about the wi-fi, and of course I was aware of this issue during your short stay. These problems are very untypical, most people comment very favourably about the speed and reliability of the wi-fi. However, being in...

We spend almost 3 weeks in New Zealand and this was hand down our favorite B&B experience. The location is great. The room was beautiful and there is air-conditioning. The food was amazing. Andy, the owner is a great cook. He makes a wonderful breakfast each day. You will be given the option to have him cook dinner for you....

I loved every minute of our stay here. So comfortable, and inviting! The rooms are luxurious in every way. Breakfast was SUCH a treat! Great job, Andy! Eggs perfectly cooked. Deliciously hearty gluten free toast with butter and jams. Beautifully kept grounds. The verandah is perfect for sitting and relaxing. Billiards, games and movies for rainy times. There are even...

Well out of town, on a small farm but alongside the main road to the coast, Lupton Lodge achieves a perfect mix of luxury and informality. We had the immense Purple Room, upstairs in the 'barn', for two nights - newly kitted out ,and very peaceful and comfortable. A good-sized pool, but unheated. And Andy managed to whip up two...

We enjoyed a two night stay at Lupton Lodge. It is located in a great place to see the area, close to Whengarei Falls and the ocean. Andy was a wonderful cook, providing delicious dinners at a reasonable cost. We enjoyed making several new friends at this bed and breakfast.

We spent 3 nights here; wished We had stayed longer. Superduper! Andy, the owner, is a wonderful host and a great cook. We highly recommend you to eat your dinner in-house. We had two of Andys courses from the menu, the pan fried terakihi fish with lemon & capers and the Moroccan spiced lamb rump. We also tried the apricot...

In January 2017, my husband and I returned to New Zealand after having visited 29 years ago. We spent two days/nights at the Lupton Lodge and can highly recommend it to everyone. Andy was kind enough to offer us a free room upgrade and we had a very large suite. Not only is Andy a wonderful host, but he is...

Our host Andy greeted us as we arrived and made us feel very welcome. He showed us around and we discussed dinner as he was cooking just for us that night. Our room was in the modern converted barn, upstairs. It was immaculately presented with an outstanding bathroom and a very comfortable bed that gave us a good nights sleep....

This was my third visit to this property and it remains an excellent option in the area. As before I stayed in the Green Room which I like due to its space, BBQ, and ground floor access. Breakfast was delicious and the three cooked options are more than the standard bacon and eggs. Several areas of the main lodge have...

We stopped for two nights on the way back to Auckland from the north. The hosts Andy and Karen were most helpful and friendly. The room was large, well equipped, the bathroom huge. The cooked a la carte breakfast was amazing. We opted to have an evening meals too and they were faultless. The large grounds around the property were...
