The Lupton Lodge is a great place to stay. The host was very friendly and eager to help with dinner suggestions and travel directions. The room was large and welcoming. There was a mini kitchen with a microwave, sink, fridge and dishwasher. The bathroom had a very nice shower. The grounds butt up to a farm, a pool table in... More

Just an overnight stay but a very good find in this area. Beautifully decorated, spacious and relaxed setting. Run impeccably with attention paid to all your needs. It is some way out of the city so own transport a must but well worth the drive if you like a peaceful, semi-rural setting. Oh and fresh milk for your fridge of... More

Beautiful location and grounds, gracious host, fabulous breakfast, spacious rooms, convenient location. One of our favorite lodges in the north island. The host really took an interest in our vacation plans and made many helpful suggestions.

Everything perfectly decorated with attention to details, very clean room in a relaxing building surrounded by fruit trees. Filling and made at the minute breakfast, well executed dinner with attention to dietary requirements. The owners are nice and chatty without been intrusive. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back!

Breakfast was fab, fresh, healthy and delicious Andy gave us suggestions of places to visit and places to eat. They were great recommendations. I left my phone charger in the room and Andy was extremely helpful in posting it on to me

Very good value for money. The room was very nice with everything you need and expect. The food was really good with very healthy portions. The location is nice and quiet and only 5 minutes away from the town of Whangarei. I would definitely recommend this lodge whether you are staying just one night or longer.

I stayed in the purple room (top of barn) this week for 1 night - everything was perfect! The bed was comfortable, room spotless, hospitality couldn't be faulted. Andy made sure I had everything I needed when I arrived with takeaways for dinner. The marmalade at breakfast was the best I've ever tasted, I wonder if it is homemade? The... More
