Motel six is an older style motel with obvious updates to beds and decor. My unit was immaculately clean with a very shiny stainless steel bench. All the staff were pleasant and helpful nothing was too much trouble. A young man rushed out of the office to carry my case upstairs when he saw me struggling and helped again when I checked out. When I noted a broken toilet seat to a housekeeper, it was immediately replaced with a new one. I stayed for 4 days feeling safe and secure. A Thai restaurant nearby produced excellent meals, and there were other takeaway businesses within walking distance. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I admit I booked this hotel because of the reasonable price and the 4 star average on here. After staying there I think most of the ver positive reviews must have been based on the apartments rather than the studios.
Good points.
Parking in front of the studio. Very clean. Good kitchenette. Good supply of hot water for the shower. Not too far to walk to the Basin.
Bad points
No soundproofing. People in the next studio could be heard speaking at normal volume
It is literally right next to a very large primary school...that is what the view from the studio's windows is of
No security...the windows have to be secured shut which makes it very hot. No aircon

The room is tidy and clean and the location is very near city centre.
The staff and cleaners are nice and polite.
However, the sound insulation is very poor and no one came to my room to clear the rubbish occasionally.

Well, due to the price of staying at Motel Six, I expect Spartan accommodations, no frills. What I do expect is a clean floor and not the smell of cigarette smoke and WiFi that is usable for business.
The floor was rather dirty and walking bare footed (not recommended in any hotel) made the bottom of my feet very dirty. I took one of the white hand towels, made it wet and cleaned a portion of the floor, not a pretty sight. The towel was very soiled I am afraid to say.
My first few hours in the room resulted in very teary and scratchy eyes. I am not sure if was from the smoke or the cleaning agents they used to sanitize the room.
The next issue was the WiFi connection or should I say the speed. It was very slow taking many minutes to access a browser page, down load documents or photos, forget about viewing videos from YouTube or Netflix. I have an app that tells me the location of WiFi transmitters and the speed of down loads, uploads and ping times and they were terrible. I got download speed of 0.56 Mbps, upload speed or 0.58 Mbps and ping time of 53.28 ms. I questioned the front desk if there was something wrong with their internet service due to this and they said no, this is what Motel Six has ordered through their ISP. I told them that is not good for business.
I was supposed to stay there for 4 nights but left after the second night and told them why, I could not do business on my computer with such slow Mbps. It took 2 hours to do some work that should have only taken about half an hour to do.
Would I book with Motels Six again? Yes, most likely providing the Internet speed is up where it belongs, I definitely would check the speed before checking in.
Regarding the floor, I can live with a dirty floor and just have to remember to bring cleaning supplies and do the floor myself.
They lost $209.04 of business because of this and I had to pay and additional $50.00 per night for accommodations elsewhere.

This has to be one of the worst motels I've stayed in. We were put here on a work trip and couldn't believe how bad it was. The beds were so uncomfortable I could barely sleep. The walls were so thin I could hear people talking in the next room at 5am and showering all hours of the night. It was so dirty in my colleagues room - there appeared to be vomit on the curtains, old food all around the place, stains on the carpet. My toilet wouldn't flush properly and TV had two long lines of dead pixels down the middle. The only saving graces were the good quality wifi and the location.

A great budget motel. Very clean and roomy. Very comfortable bed. Full kitchen, mostly well equipped. Great location, easy walk to the shops. Very little road noise despite being on a busy road. The entrance could use a facelift but the rooms are great. Would stay again.

The place is very clean. Everyone is very welcoming and generous, there were even cereals besides the biscuits.

Friendly reception, room was sparkling, WiFi good. Close to Maccas and the CBD. Well equipped for the traveller.
We were quite satisfied. The only down side is that the motel is a bit dated.
But 10/10 for value for money.

This hotel is clean. There is room for us all to sleep.It is very 1970s, complete with bedspreads and nylon sheets. The beds are wobbly and tiny. When extra sheets were requested, to make up the sofa bed, we were regarded quizzically with a "But there are five beds for the five of you'.....the hostess disregards the fact that the double bed would be the size of the coffin my husband will require at some point in the future.

Wow, we have stayed twice now and each time the facility is awesome,so clean and tidy,everything sparkles showers, sinks,fridge is clean so are the drawers that the utensils are in, bonus.All is fresh and welcoming.We would defineatly come back again.
