We only stayed one night in Whangarei for RWC2021, so didn't spend much time in the room at all. That said, given more time in the city, we certainly would have! The room and building are nice along with a great common area adjacent to our room. Checking in and out was super easy, as was parking, which was right in front of the building.

One notable thing about this room I will never forget: the shower pressure was out of this world. If you remember the Seinfeld episode when Kramer replaces his "low flow" shower head with the one for elephants... like that, but in a good way. It was amazing!

Fine accommodations, indeed!

Lovely accommodation, well presented and very clean.
It is situated very close to the town centre where there is plenty to do and see, I would recommend seeing the big clock down by the shops near the harbour, it is an amazing sight.
Fully recommend this as a place to stay and as a town to enjoy.

One night stay in Whangarei. The host was really accommodating given he hadn't planned to be open. Good set up in the building with a shared common area, kitchen with tea and coffee facilities and a private room with ensuite. And a sensational bed, super comfy. All within an easy stroll of the CBD and waterfront.

We had stayed here many years ago and were pleased to find it as good as then. Facilities are very good with the lounge area a real bonus...comfortable, Sky TV [inc Sky Sports] nice balcony and good views. Bedroom and bathroom were very well appointed and very clean. Hosts were very helpful but not intrusive. We would certainly stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is on a main road but there was little traffic noise and we had a pleasant view of the river. Very comfortable room with lots of nice little touches. Excellent breakfast. The fruit kebabs were delicious. Owner was knowledgeable about local area and made several excellent suggestions for what to do and see and where to eat out.

This is a perfect overnight stop, if you need to stay in Whangarei. The room has everything you need and much more. Attention to detail is everywhere. The mini bar was welcome, and very reasonably priced- which makes a refreshing change. The breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful and served in the separate lounge/breakfast area for guest use.

The Owners, Rob & Pauline were very good hosts. They came across as extremely courteous, polite and certainly professional in a job they are passionate about. It was pretty clear they pay attention to minor details and are always willing to give any visitor the BEST info needed in addition to the wide selection of brochures and flyers readily available. YOU will not be disappointed with your stay at this homely place located in the heart of the city.

Overall--8/10

Situated near the Basin area (where Whangarei all happens),it may be easy to miss as one drives by, but it is well worth not doing so! The room was a decent size, without being huge, and next to a large communal sittingroom which had a large TV, kitchen facilities, a table and chairs, sofa and armchairs etc etc and was generally very well appointed (inc milk in the fridge and all types of tea inc Earl Grey). Back to our room - it had aircon, a large room fan as well as opening windows. The bathroom was sizeable and very well appointed with a good shower, good quality towels, washers, numerous bottles of body wash, etc etc. Dressing gowns were provided as well as all the usual irons, ironingboards, etc. The quality of all the appurtenances was above that usually provided and made the place stand out. Friendly and helpful staff.

went up to Whangarei to catch up with some old Army buddy's of mine, Found on the internet easy, so just a click and we had the accommodation done.
Place was easy to find, very easy to park and not far from the centre of the town. Our unit had a spa within it as well which was put to good use, showers were very good as well , Shower head could be changed to make different jets work. Found that to be awesome. Each room had a large TV within as well as a lounge area had a bigger one which was used to watch when we just won against the S.A. rugbyteam early sun morning.
