We had an excellent time at Chelsea House. Jennie & Tony are fantastic hosts. The house was beautiful, we had a lovely room. We felt so welcome at there place. There was a delicious breakfast in the morning and there were nice tea facilities with homemade bananabread (so yummy)!! They gave great tips for restaurants, activities etc . We could ask for anything! For everybody who wants to visit Whangarei and needs a place to stay, we would highly recommend Chelsea House!! :-)

Chelsea House B&B offers more than just historic villa with 12-feet ceilings, great accommodations, hospitality, and good cooked breakfast. Jennie is a seasoned travel professional, and her recommendations on what to see on the North and South Islands were invaluable, especially the advice to visit "stunning beaches" (they are stunning, indeed!!) on the East Coast of the North Island. Both Jennie and Tony are very friendly hosts, and it's my pleasure to recommend their old/new villa.

Chelsea House set the standards very high for the rest of our accommodations in New Zealand. Jennie and Tony made us feel instantly comfortable in their lovely home. Jennie went above and beyond in assisting us with places to visit and with items left behind. The river walk nearby is beautiful and the Whanarei Falls are spectacular. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is perfect for exploring this area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chelsea House on our recent trip to New Zealand. It is a lovely place to stay. Jennie gave us a warm and friendly welcome and provided lots of information and maps for the local area and recommendations for restaurants etc. She made us a really good breakfast, including delicious home made jam. Our room was the Parahaki room at the front of the house. It was very well appointed and the bed was really comfy. Overall, we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay.

This B and B was in a class of its own - The hosts were very helpful and spent a great deal of time with us advising us where to travel and where to find great food,.
