Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Most of the 'guests' appear to live here permanently, with us the only holidayers.

The mineral pool has a bubbling green slime layer over it an inch thick and the other pool is as dry as my wit.

I suggest you go elsewhere.

Did not enjoy Kamo Springs Holiday Park. I stayed in a unit with a bathroom. The unit cost $55 for the night. I was obviously expecting it to be very basic for this price. What I did not like was that the unit smelt stale, the net curtains were ripped, the bit of cutlery (knives, forks, spoons) there was dirty, the carpet was stained, the two chairs were stained - I was actually worried to sit on them. Also the bedding was very unusual, there was one flat sheet draped across the bed (not even tucked in), a duvet folded on the end of the bed and two pillows and that was all. The shower was the strangest; you had to turn on a 9kg gas bottle that was sitting under the sink to get hot water? The only mirror was in the corner above the toilet. The whole unit was very poorly kept. The only upside was the grounds of the holiday park were well kept and the units looked quite nice from the outside. Would be fine to stop here if you were in a campervan or had a tent, but would not recommend the cabins.

I stayed at Kamo Springs Holiday park for two weeks in an ensuite unit that cost $55 per night. The unit is newish, warm, with a comfortable queen size bed. It is spotlessly clean, Above all the hosts are very friendly welcoming people. The location is quiet. At $55 this must be New Zealands best value accomodation. Home away from home! Located 5 minutes drive from Northlands best golf course, with a shop outside. I absolutely recommend Kamo springs.
