If you blink you’d miss the rundown sign at the front, then proceed down a path full of potholes. The reception was filthy and disgusting. We nearly turned around and left but thought we’d see what the rooms are like. stained toilet seat, so asked for another room, got transferred to the next door, only to find out there was no hot water as the sinks hot water was dripping not stop. we were told to shower in the original unit. . We were tired so thought we’d transfer back but the final straw was when I found a spider in the blanket when I got into bed. Loud knocking late at night, tooting horns early morning n a barking dog all night..I would NEVER ever recommend this is to anyone. This facility should be closed for good. still trying to recover from such traumatic experience. I feel sick just thinking about it.

I entered the reception area to find the oldest framed photograph (I think - but still not sure) with a moldy stain on it. Messy. But not as much as the area next to the reception. A stockpile of whiteware...piled high. An old spa pool too. I think there was a trampoline well past its used by date. The room was very dated. We rewashed every utensil etc we used. The roof was covered with a tarpaulin as were many more near our room. Anither store area of junk piled high too near the laundry. We did meet a couple of cleaners on our way out. They were very pleasant. It appears to be used for emergency housing mixed with nightly booked rooms. Would not stay again. Be weary.

The motel is poorly presented with rubbish and broken appliances piled hoarded around the yard. A few of the had tarpaulins on the roof obviously covering up leaks. The unit allocated to us had a tarp on the roof and a ground level window missing and covered up with cardboard and packing tape, not something we wanted with a newly crawling baby and a severe weather warning in place for the area. We were able to get a full refund and found a very decent motel for a similar price.

Dont pay in advance , paid for 3 nights in advance as this is what they asked for, but after 2 nights when partner became sick due to diaylisis and we had to leave at 6am the following morning , this motel refused to refund . Said we needed proof and even after that said no guarantee we would get a refund. Disgusting behaviour, never ever heard of it...ever.

Have just spent three weeks here, using the Casa Blanca Motel as a base for visiting family and the area. It ticked all our boxes: it was comfortable, roomy accommodation and occupies a spacious open site - much roomier and more spacious than most NZ motels we have visited. Tel and Denise made us very welcome and put us at our ease. We were most impressed by the conscientiousness of the servicing team. The Casa Blanca is what it is; it is not neither ultra modern nor posh. It unpretentiously met all our needs and we already have booked to return. It has a large swimming pool. It is situated close to city centre and has ample easy parking. Excellent value for money.

The location is handy and the motel catered well for our varied family groups, large or small, young and old. Plenty of parking, the sound proof pool room was a bargain which kept the noise inside. The trampoline helped as well. Overall good value and we will come back again.

I stayed here for a few nights for work recently. It is a great place, close to the city and walking distance to the hospital. The unit we stayed in was immaculate and very comfortable for two. There was a spare bed in the lounge. We had a balcony to relax on the evenings. So easy to get here as directly off the freeway and you could exit from it too. The staff were amazing, so helpful and room was spotless every day, thanks to the great cleaners. A big thumbs up for this place

Me and my husband spent a night at the Casa Blanca Motel. The room was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. It does not boast of any scenic views but we were happy with the beautiful green surroundings we could spot from our windows. The pool was under maintenance so we did not bother and since it was chilly, did not feel the need to visit the pool, but we got what we needed. We were looking for a decent clean room with a kitchenette and other amenities including a shower cabin, toilet, etc. Cutlery and pots were also provided and we enjoyed cooking a quick meal. I was very happy with the housekeeping. The bath shower and toilet was also so well-kept and clean. We had a small balcony for ourselves where we enjoyed our cooked breakfast. Very close to the Whangarei waterfalls and the city centre with lots of restaurant options. Was a good stay. If you're looking for a budgeted stay, this is a good option
