Stayed here for 4 nights, New years Eve was really quiet. Hardly anyone celebrating.
Had a lot of soaks in the pool in the evening when it was ADULT time, however noticed a few inappropriate things going on in front of teens who were allowed in the pool at the time. They have an age limit, of 15 and above for adults, which we felt was a wee bit young considering the "activities" we saw. Some of the people seriously needed to "get a room".
Lovely outdoor shaded dining room. Plenty of BBQ's. Laundry room was great with plenty of washing machines and driers. $2. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, bread boards, detergent, t-towels, and sometime loads of food that people have donated.
The shower system is disappointing, you press a button on the outside of the shower, and have hot water for a short time, if you run out you have to leave the shower cubicle and repeat the process.
Nice friendly atmosphere. They have bikes and trikes for the kids. an out door chess and petanque area as well, and tennis too. :-)

The site is well laid out, clean and tidy with nicely planted areas of foliage dotted between the powered sites. I had occasion to check out the cabins and they appeared to be very clean and well appointed. We were particularly impressed by the kitchen communal area which was large, clean, well equipped with plenty of seating inside and out. Unfortunately our stay was cut short by a Covid lockdown alert so we were unable to fully avail ourselves of the facilities.

Well laid out motorhome parking. Parking is on metal which was great as it was raining on and off during our stay. Still plenty of grass between the sites. We noted that the motorhome parking pet sites were individually fenced which is a great idea. Have told our friends with dogs. The hot pool was fantastic to soak and relax in after our bike ride along the seabird coast cycleway. Facilities were very clean. Will be returning again soon to enjoy this lovely, peaceful campground.

We stayed there coming from Coromandel up to Northland and was a good site to stay overnight. Not much noise and with the hot mineral pools, playground and other activities a good time for children as well. They offer a small food truck for dinner between 6-8pm as well. Really nice. Facilities are clean as well and good equipped kitchen.

We arrived at 12pm and were advised that we were checked in at 2pm. Fair enough, the rather big curly headed woman on the front desk must have been having an off day as she was very unwelcoming and quite rude. If I had paid already I would have found alternative accomodation in Thames.however when we returned her husband was thankfully on the front desk and was a rather stark contrast to her and could not have been more welcoming which put us at ease straight away. Further on in our stay the lady from the front desk was at the pool and she was in a much better mood and could clearly be nice! Who knows what might have been going on for her but on first impressions to Miranda things did not look good. Rooms were clean and tidy perfectly adequate. Toilets facilities appeared not to be regularly cleaned but again this is large a camp ground and it must be hard to keep up with the amount of people.

We stayed one night early March just before the lockdown . We stayed on a powered site in our motorhome and really enjoyed it , particularly the hot pool , it’s magic , soothes the body and mind. The parks facilities are very clean and spotless and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly . A great feature was the onsite takeaway kitchen , the burgers and chips were awesome .The Park caters for everyone, motel units , cabins , and camp sites

My husband and I stayed in the chalet the price for 1 night is
$159 NZD which we thought was a little on the expensive side. However we needed a night away and it was local to us. The pool and surrounding environment is lovely and there is a lot of wonderful activities both in the holiday grounds and outside off. Unfortunately the couch and bed was so uncomfortable it’s ruins the entire holiday vibe. The bed is a brick and at 5.3 short my feet were hanging over the edge. After half an hour of lying on the bed we packed up and went home (lucky we were local). If you enjoy comfort bring your own mattress topper and floor cushions.

We did not get the opportunity to stay on our first road trip in NZ, so we took the chance this visit and were very disappointing the pitches offered were very cramped and uneven the motor home next door was approx 1.5 mtrs from our motor home.
We had stayed on 5 other sites in the week all busier than this, but never cramped.
The facilities are very good but at $56 per night for a cramped uneven pitch is over priced. Defiantly on our list not to revisit.

We booked two nights to stay in our new Motorhome, from the start of the booking process over the phone to departure was a breeze. Would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting to stay wether you have a motorhome, tent or are wanting accommodation - they have it all. Safe and secure and most of all, the ablutions are immaculately clean along with the communal areas. The pool is amazing and very relaxing, we were there in the quieter times, there were children in the pool but they were all well behaved, they are not allowed after 8pm (adults time) a big bonus! The motorhome sites are all spacious and most are hard surface, ours is 9 meters so we needed to have the extra space as we also tow a small car. A great place to base yourselves and travel into Thames/Paeroa for the day, there are also great bike trails close by as well.

We as a family and friends went to miranda holiday park on 12th june for a celebration, never stayed there before, but I can tell you that it was well worth it. 1hr and 20 mins from Auckland was just nice. Towing a caravan was a breeze. I will rate this venue with A+ 10 times over. The owners are lovely and very accommodating, very pleasant, and the staff are amazing. Great family park, and dog friendly camp sites with lockable gates and all fenced. Very clean, immaculate, and great things for everyone to do such as mini golf, carts to hire to drive around the camp beautiful mineral hot pool that is around 37.7 degrees, just amazing. They also have a food truck on site that makes amazing food, and full shop facilities for basic things. Great place for everyone to enjoy. Kitchen facilities are amazing, and great out door area tol and span, very clean. Well worth going. Could not fault this place at all.. 💯%. I have added a few photos that I took. Well done miranda holiday park..

We have 2 x family units which are right beside each other. One bedroom has double with single bunk over, and a set of bunks, the other room has a queen bed. Our Apartments have one room with king bed and one single and another single in the lounge area. An apartment and studio make a block which are standalone, and next to another apartment studio block. Please check out our website. All units have fridges with small freezer units. Bunks rooms only have small fridges. Please phone for any information.
