Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Room was dirty and shabby. Bathroom old and dilapidated even though it was huge the vanity was tiny with no bench space. Plastic curtain in old shower. .Advertised with a hairdryer but there was none in any room. Lounge suite was dirty as was the floor. Would not recommend at all.had a courtesy vehicle in some advertising and was parked outside and we asked of we could be dropped at a venue and was told no it isn't used now.Restaurant was closed. Not a happy experience.

Arrived at reception in evening to a sign that said closed, so tried booking on line. Once we had booked the reception opened for someone else, so we went in and were commented on that we should have book direct as on line costs more then were charged for bedding. Room was tidy enough but small.

Bare minimum maintenance with high range prices. Restaurant is way over priced at $30 for a main which is just the size of an entre. The Owner's have been here 8yrs and are in their 70's, which explains why this motel is 80's style. At $90 pr night for 1 person is a reach. I've stayed at better back packers. But if you're stuck for accommodation & no where else to stay, a one night stay is fine. Would I come back? No 😡

There are several suggestions for the owner/manager to take into account to improve this motel
1. Close the windows after servicing rather than freezing the room and leaving peoples possessions open to theft
2.The room stinks, it think it is likely that you are using an old spray to freshen it. All our clothes needed to be washed even the ones used as the smell was overbearing and present in other areas of the motel
3. your wifi does not work and your sky only had racing channel and rugby channel
4. your cutlery is old and needs replacing
5. your bedding and curtains are old and needs replacing
6. Please attend to maintenance of rooms (broken door knobs, broken legs on heaters
7. check under beds and clean properly before new visitors arrive
8. Please don't try and make a quick buck by severely overcharging people when it was not called for, it leaves a bad impression such that this review has been placed.

We booked here last minute as a family and were greeted by friendly staff. The unit was clean, tidy and although very basic and a bit tired, all the amenities were there as described. These included full cooking facilities, off street parking, quiet units and Sky tv.

Stopped for a couple of nights while in town for a stage performance. Booked through internet - on arrival were met by one of the owners (Marion) who chatted and signed us in. She made sure we were happy with room which was basic but clean, tidy and had all we needed. Enjoyed our night at The Dark Room Improv presentation and had a nice restful night in a comfortable bed. Met another owner next morning and had a pleasant chat. Overall the motel is fine for what we wanted - maybe not if you want 4 or 5 star accommodation but we were very happy with the room

Stopped a night on business. booking was easy. Owners were nice. Accommodation was pretty basic stand motel rooms and although a bit tired were clean and comfortable.

I guess my only gripe is that there were no services within walking distance so if you want a meal or a drink you would either need to eat there or get in the car.

The night I stayed (Tuesday) is the only night of the week the restaurant / bar is not open so not ideal.

1st time for ages we have had a super king bed pure bliss and great sleep, hosts are great, rooms a little dated but comfortable and clean,'bedside cabinets and lamps, table and chairs microwave, hot plates, fridge advertises sky but only has 2 sport and 1 horse racing channel our unit is close to busy road so if wanting a quiet night get a back unit there is a restaurant on site not open every night though,I would come again even though unit was a bit cramped with a single bed in it as well as our big bed and one easy chair
