Great Service, Tidy and Clean rooms, ample parking space and only a stroll up the road and your in the town centre. Lot's of eateries about as well. Thanks to our host who made our life easy for us to get about our daily work...
We had a last minute cancellation of a booking at Central Square. My daughters were driving around with everything booked out in Palmy. Bella Vista welcomed them, put a heater on because it was cold, and made a Graduation so much better after our earlier disappointment and stress. Thanks so much for being so kind with your lovely clean and well appointed motel.
This is a well sited motel, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Carparking on-site is easy with lots of room. The kitchenette had all I needed for a two night stay. Very friendly and helpful host. Only negatives are that I didn't like that the door to the room is a ranchslider and only had a simple latch. Staying by myself I would have liked another lock inside the door. Also housekeeping opened the windows during the day when I wasn't present, I would have preferred them to be left closed when my things were inside.
Bella Vista Motels is a chain, if you are visited one you know them. Our twin room was clean and big enough for one night stay. Clean and practical bathroom. Location is on the main street but our room was quiet enough. City center was within walking distance, about 10 to 15 minutes. We asked some ideas at iSite for the restaurants. In the city center was also big (and new?) shopping center.
A central location and very clean presentation make this motel good for a quick stay in Palmerston North. Nothing flash but everything you need is there, it is all extremely clean and priced well. One tip to the cleaners, please don't tuck the electric blanket cords under the mattress - how is the guest supposed to find them? We mistakenly thought there was no electric blanket and it was a very cold night. Found the cords eventually but it would be better if the cords were easily visible.
There is 1.25m one side of the bed and 0.75m the other side. There is nowhere to put a suitcase, the shower is strong and powerful but just over luke warm even when on "HOT". The bed was adequate. I dislike places where you have to get water from the hand basin and there is nowhere to wash dishes except the hand basin. Add to that a noisy weird heating system - And it cost $140 per night for one person. Not a great night in Palmy at all at a dated motel unit.
We stayed one night over a weekend. The room was small however very clean and had everything we wanted for a moderately priced motel. The staff were helpful and friendly making us welcome. I would happily stay here again.
The couple managing this motel were very nice indeed and very friendly. The room was fine for the night we needed it. Location was good and the owners recommended places to visit nearby. Wheelchair accessibility was good here.
Stayed here for work and wasnt expecting too much but was really pleased with what I found here. Its a basic looking place but spotlessly clean - the lino actually shone! The shower hot water and water pressure was amazing and there was a heated towel rack and fan heater in the bathroom so all toasty and warm. The hair dryer was a good one - not one of those horrid cheap things stuck on the wall you often find in hotels and motels. Also excellent was the heating in the bedroom and the fast free internet access. I had a quiet room set back from the busy road. Location is close enough to walk to city centre or the gardens.
Had booked for 5 nights. Was called stupid by the host. "Upgraded" us to a room that had a non working spa bath. Wifi was cut on day 3. Moved rooms on day 4 which was ok but couldn't cook meals. Close to town and supermarkets. I have stayed in better for far less. On Facebook they mentioned that in July would get free continental breakfast but never happened.
