Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place for a two night stopover, especially as were having to re-route because of the cyclone on the east coast. Well located with everything walkable and the staff could not be more helpful in our predicament. Clean room, kitchenette, washer dryer too. Lovely

I stayed for 6 nights in a 2nd floor corner room at the front. Apparently only 2 years old, the setup, design and features of this property and my room were amazing. The many pluses + Full kitchen with 1/2 fridge and all the pots/pans and dishes to cook a meal, although being so close to so many restaurants and grocery stores there was no need + nice TV with tons of free movies and unused inputs for streaming devices + Windows on both sides + Clothes washer and dryer + very comfortable bed with premium linens + Powerful air con/heater + Secure card access both at the front door and the elevator + No work desk but the kitchen table chairs were very comfortable + New style coffee maker with free pods + Walk-in shower (no tub) + Digital clock radio with USB charging ports + Real telephone with instant link to reception To know - There is no room safe Front desk staff were all excellent. If I return to Palmerston I will definitely stay here

Generously-sized studio room. Immaculately clean. Very reasonably priced. Plenty of off-street parking and tidy landscaping. 15 minute stroll to Regent Theatre. Last minute booking - impressed by professionalism of staff. Would definitely return.

We cannot rate the staff more highly- especially Lymiel and his two colleagues. They just couldn’t have been more helpful, whether it was the adaptor we needed, the extra night (cyclone Gabrielle meant our visit to Napier was not a good idea) or the slightly extended check out time. Always smiling, always helpful and what a difference it makes to the stay. The accommodation itself (studio) was good, reasonably spacious, a modern TV, and a washing machine and dryer. The two hot lamps in the bathroom worked well and we both appreciated the USBs by the bedside. Only niggle was a limit of two devices per person using the Wi-Fi – why? A silly rule that the staff helped us sort out and as a result it was most enjoyable two day stay.

Stayed in Room 6 on the ground floor at Quest Palmerston North - everything and more you could want, but above all very, very clean. Lots of things to cook, very good show and water pressure. Room looked out over the carpark, but this wasn't and issue and no traffic noise from Fitzherbert Ave. Good and fast wifi. Well located to the pub across the road and easy walking distance to eother Coundown or PaknSave Super markets. Staff on the deak were very 'user friendly' and helpful. Wouldn't hestiat to stay again.

Another weekend stay at the Quest and once again friendly helpful staff, very clean room with everything we needed. Close to supermarket, mall, and other shops, The room was on the larger size for a studio (compared to other hotels) had blackout drapes, heat pump, and was quiet,. Good carparking also

Only stayed overnight on business trip but really good experience. Seems a reasonably new facility, with everything very clean and in-room equipment, furnishings and utensils very good. Rooms have small kitchenette and washing machine/dryer which came in handy having been on road for a while. Staff very helpful. Would recommend.

While the place looks nice new and clean there are plenty of flaws I was staying on 1st floor and anytime someone above my room wanted to walk around I could here it. Being close to a corner which is a main intersection it means a sleepless night listening to loud exhaust pipes drivers changing doen gears for the lights and heavy transport. I wouldn't be staying here anytime soon as 4 hours sleep due to constant road noise is not acceptable especially when I'm here fornwork.
