We selected this motel mainly because of its convenient location and free parking facilities. Car park spaces were quite limited and a bit small for SUV. Front desk staff was not always there, we needed to ring the bell to draw attention. However, she was very considerate to pre-warm the room for us. The room we stayed was a bit old, but comfortable enough, it's just the bathroom .... the washbasin was too small that only good enough for washing hands.

Stayed 2 nights here in a ground floor unit. Room is basic and clean with a kitchenette. Decor is tired looking, pillows too soft. Wall heater works erratically. They provide extra blankets and a fan heater as well as electric blanket which helped to keep warm. Toilet seat was broken, hangers in the closet were a plastic mish mash of sizes mostly for hanging children’s clothes or with tabs only to hang pants not suitable for hanging adult work clothes up.

Centrally located for cafes, restaurants, theatre, bars and shopping. Although it needs a bit of of smartening up (it's a tad tired at the moment), the room was spotlessly clean, beds comfortable, kitchenette has all necessities etc. Despite being off a noisy main street we had a quite a good nights sleep. There's free off street parking and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this motel if you need to stay centrally in Palmy.

Picked this Motel for proximity to the Regent too see a show. Close to bars and restaurants as well. Walked everywhere. Great. Very reasonable charges for a clean modern unit. Quick, no nonsense check in, managers seemed like nice people. Comfortable sleep, nice bed. I would not think of any other accommodation if I was repeating this trip. This property seemed to offer a little bit of vehicle security. Because there is no walk through and the view to the road is narrow. And there are large iron gates closed at night to vehicles.

Very easy to find, close to main shopping areas, restaurants and The Square. This motel was quiet even though it was so central. Clean and tidy. Great water pressure in the showers! Friendly and helpful.

Arrived from Wellington, informed reception I would be leaving early the next morning and would like to settle my account then. Having booked on line my credit card details were required, so when I was only charged for the breakfast I had just ordered, I thought nothing of it as it is normal practice to debit your credit card for the room. The following day, I received a call from the motel saying I had skipped without paying and how was I going to rectify this. I drove 80km back to the motel to pay for the stay. While staff were pleasant, they need to be more aware of their systems. Will not stay there again.

Stayed at Kiwi Studios for three days in a spa one-bedroom unit. The bathroom was the best part because of the size, spa, and separate shower. The living room area included the kitchen with a apartment sized refrigerator, two-burner stove, microwave, and flat screen TV on the wall. The king-sized bed was comfy with a flat screen TV on the wall.
Kiwi Studios is located in the downtown area and is surrounded with restaurants. Daily service is provided and hot chocolate was included with the tea and coffee service. Parking and excellent Wifi is included in the reasonable daily rate. All of the staff is very friendly and willing to offer excellent advice. Nice hotel!

Maybe we got a dud room. Booked a two bedroom studio. Were placed in a one-bedroom studio with a double bed (no couch) in the lounge. Tiny, cramped place. Freezing cold. The bathroom was so small that it was difficult to actually get out of the way of the door to shut it, nearly fell in the toilet doing so! When we approached the receptionist about the fact that we'd booked a 2 bedroom place and got 1 bedroom she acted like we were being quite silly about it. We were travelling with young children and were extremely cramped in the tiny place. Paint was visibly chipping off all the walls, a very crappy renovation job 5-10 years ago looks like it cost about $300 at the time and adds to the feeling that you're staying in the dive. My daughter said it was 'huckery' and I think that's a good way to describe it. We were booked for 3 nights but about half an hour after arriving rang around Palmerston North. Ended up at Kauri Court Lodge the next morning in their serviced apartments and I can not recommend those highly enough. Skip Kiwi Studios and head straight to Kauri Court. To add insult to injury, we were still charged the full price the next morning when we left Kiwi Studios, in spite of being given a 1 bedroom studio instead of 2. Not recommended at all.

Very convenient to everything central, clean and tidy. Breakfast is available, bathroom is very small doesn't allow room for your toiletries etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. On site car parking. Small but adequate with basic essentials

Very clean and the bed was so comfortable. I would stay here again, although perhaps not in winter as the heater was not adequate for the room size. Certainly value for money. Was a bit noisy with other guests coming and going, however that is not the fault of the owners. Some people are just rude.
