Detailed Reviews
We needed somewhere to break a trip and Palmerston North was the best option. With seven of us in our group we wanted a bigger room and we found the perfect place for us. The family room had three bedrooms (one with four single bed, one with a single bed and two couches!, and one with a queen bed and a double bed), two bathrooms (thank you!), a decent kitchen, and a good sized dining area. The kitchen had two of everything (toaster, kettle, etc) which is a nice touch when you have big numbers of people. Very clean and quiet too, Well located to shops and restaurants. Very good choice.

Palmerston North is blessed with a load of Motels and Hotels, ranging from the Absolute Dire, to Really, Really good. Aspree Motor Inn is the pick of the bunch. Fastidiously Clean and functional rooms, epic Customer Service and an awesome location. Even whilst being on the Main Drag, the rooms are quiet and afford a decent night's rest.
We have our Drivers staying here at least once a week for a while now, and they do not like staying anywhere but the Aspree. Fantastic parking around the back allows easy access for Trucks and Trailers. It's location in proximity to Supermarkets and Restaurants really cannot be beat. The Nightly Rates are extremely good value for money.
We really appreciate our Drivers being able to stay in such Clean and Comfortable rooms while they are away from their families. Keep up the amazing work Aspree Team!

Had studio unit which was not large but had everything we wanted as a couple. Plenty of parking and convenient to town. Chinese restaurant attached to motel was surprisingly an excellent choice as we arrived a bit late. Wonderful food.
Wife left bracelet behind and it was handed in and subsequently we had couriered back to us. Honest service.

I booked a room several months ago so we would have accommodation to see our daughter graduate from Massey University. However the motor lodge decided to cancel our booking the Wednesday prior to our arrival so they could up sell our room, leaving our family without accommodation. After phoning the motor lodge about the cancellation, I was told it was due to who we booked through even though the email states clearly it was the motor lodge and the room was already on sold. It was clear on the paperwork who cancelled the room. So disappointed that a business would do this to customers putting profit first especially on such an important occasion.

Worst motel ever.. the reception lady is so rude and needs to find a desk job were she's not dealing with the public.went out for lunch put all the signage on the door(do not disturb etc) to come back to find someone had gone through my room, had very sensitive personal stuff moved.signage means nothing here been here 3 days and every morning people knocking on the door before 9am. Went to complain to front reception to be told there foreigners and they can't read the signage that is provided and they will enter as they see fit. Don't bother with this place much better available, save your heart ache move on to the next motel.

Don’t let the price of this place and the nice photos they put up temp you into staying at this dump. The rooms are horrid they are smaller than a sardine can. This beds are terrible and the rooms are filthy. This place needs to be condemned. It’s truly amazing that the district council has not shut it down yet.

Stayed 3 nights in Feb 2020. The room was clean, reasonably modern and mostly adequate. For my job, I need an ironed shirt but there was no iron in the room. When I asked for one I was told to go to the guest laundry room and to ask for the key at reception. Now I know to check this before booking non-metro accommodation.

A no frills unit in easy walking distance to town. The caretaker was friendly and kind. The bed was comfortable and the shower water pressure was good. It is right next to Main st, which attracts boy racer cars late into the evening and a lot of trucks early in the morning. If you're a light sleeper maybe ask for a unit as far from the road as possible. I happened to have the unit next to the one picnic table in the car park, which was consistently used by smokers and the cigarette smell wafted around my door. But otherwise good value.

Firstly due to our circumstances we were able to access our room earlier than 2pm. This is what you call good Customer Service. What we found was a cosy, spotlessly clean, modernised studio. It was all we could wish for. We particularly appreciated the bathroom and huge shower. Very handy location. Friendly staff also.

Our Club booked 15 rooms for a one night stay and were delighted with our stay. Our room keys were all ready for us and our special requests were attended to. The rooms were very nice, clean, with good amenities. Good towels and care products, plenty of tea, coffee etc, very comfortable beds. The reception staff were very friendly.
