Should be called Cheap Cupboards. Staff kind and helpful as they could be but the room was like a hallway with corners, weird double door entry, battered furniture and a broken shower. No park at bookin or spare bed ready despite prepayment, no pillow for the extra bed and no spare blanket so cold sleep, crusty plate in cupboard. Def on the city centre, but sigh…Fairly depressing stay, off the list.
Great hotel, no problem at all - great location, great bed and pillows and awesome amenities etc etc BUT the one thing that really made this place a top hotel for me is cleanliness. Asish (Household Manager) and his team do an amazing job! My room was spotless. I rate cleanliness as the biggest requirement whenever I stay anywhere and I could not have been more delighted. I extend my thanks to Asish for making the hotel a really great stay.
Great location as there were a good range of shops & restaurants with walking distance. I love the fact that there is a kitchenette with everything you need and it was nice to have options of various tea & coffee. The cleanliness of the room was top notch and especially appreciated a particular staff member’s efforts, Ashish who went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable. Highly recommend
Didn't even get to finalise a re-booking as trying to communicate with this place was like banging your head against a wall. When our original online booking for 4 individual travelers needed to change to three, we tried to arrange an alternative. Info on the website suggested it was possible, but trying to clarify the room options plus the fact that it wasn't one of the regularly complained about rooms was a non starter. Long time lapse in the email responses and even then, most specific questions were not answered and/or answers were vague. This may have been down to the level of English, a lack of effort put into the response, lack of knowledge or purely an unwillingness to commit. When I followed up and spoke to another individual, late afternoon (as I'd not heard back from my email follow-up, the day before) it was apparent that he (Doug) wanted to push me off the call and back to email as quickly as possible and requested I submit details via email. I responded that they already had my details from prior emails along with unanswered questions and he promised someone would get back to me. I gave it a couple of hours, gave up and booked somewhere else. Didn't even get a 'thank you' for taking the time to email through all of the mistakes on their website copy, at the time of my original booking, that they had subsequently corrected. I only persevered as long as I did because a spot on the Square, where we were attending an event, would have been preferable to the short walk but [shrug]. Ironically, they replied shortly after I'd booked somewhere else, to confirm a booking option albeit at a higher rate than previously quoted.…
This place is under new management. It’s surprisingly cheap for such a good location, right on the city square, and really good in room facilities for self catering, including a dishwasher drawer. I stayed in an apartment with a separate bedroom, which had plenty of wardrobe room. The downside was the outside noise, mainly the air conditioners of the building which are outside the first storey of the hotel. It is still good value, but bring earplugs.
