Had to stay away from home, due to renovations, so this was well suited to work, restaurants, and nice walks. Room made up every day, lovely linen, nice and clean, shampoo and condition daily, but no shower gel!!!!!!!! Fussy I know, but there you are. Such a shame that there was no where to sit and relax apart from the kitchen chairs, and I am sure that in the pics there was a couch. Big thumbs up, as we had to garage 2 cars, and this was not a problem in their secure parking. Very handing to everything, staff were very kind also. Great value for money, and bed was very comfortable.

We were quite impressed with The Hub West Palmerston North. For a cheaper accommodation option it had everything you needed. Parking, well equipped full kitchen, comfy beds with nice linen, and a roomy lounge in the one bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Only downside was the tiny sink in the bathroom with the silly shelf over top of it making it impossible to brush your teeth!

Very strange accommodation, hard to review really as the main issue was that it just didn’t feel right which I appreciate sounds weak. Myself , my partner and our two young children stayed here for one night as we made our way down the country from Auckland to Wellington. Upon check in the lady on reception was friendly and welcoming and was more than happy to answer questions. She explained clearly where the secure parking was which we had pre booked as this could have been confusing without her instructions. Our room was spacious with three bedrooms , a small kitchen and living area and bathroom and it was clean and tidy. It was clear that this building used to be an office block as the layout wasn’t suited to a hotel room, I couldn’t relax as it felt like someone was going to walk in at any moment. It is very hard to describe to be honest. The ceiling was very industrial like with pipes etc on show. The doors in the room had other numbers on highlighting how the space was used in the past. The TV signal was shocking meaning we couldn’t relax with the TV after a long drive and the dining table was tiny considering the room had three bedrooms. The bedrooms all had glass windows as they used to be offices which felt weird even with the blinds provided. All in all, the hotel was in a great location and fulfilled our needs for the one night but I wouldn’t want to have stayed there for much longer due to the feel of the place.

I wonder what was in this building before becoming an apartment/hotel place. A garage maybe??
Low ceilings, ventilation system in full view on the ceiling and very noisy, you basically sleep with a constant hum. Small table, quite gloomy, one window only in the living room, all other rooms had a window overlooking the living room.
It is clean and the space is big, but the look of it is just not good enough. Too gloomy.

I really enjoyed staying at the Hub West. My cousin and I stayed there while my husband was a Conference Delegate elsewhere. We were happy to shop and eat. Everything was in 5 to 10 mins walking distance.

We drove out to Easybuy and the parking was excellent at Hub West. We slept well. It was very quiet and the staff were very helpful. The only drawback was the small sink and slow to warm shower.

We were at a church conference and three of us stayed at the Hub West which was perfectly placed between the venue of the conference and the church. The rooms are a good size, with a decent kitchen, and a good sized lounge area too. Right on the Square, so a great location for any central activities. Staff are available and helpful.

The room was small, but clean and tidy with a view over the central square. Everything worked, but the heater seemed a little under powered. This was compensated for by the fleece blanket provided. Good value and right in the center of the city. Has free parking if booked in advance.

The apartments are nice and the bed was comfortable however the heater in my room was inadequate and I was cold all night even with the heater on full. The walls are thin and I could easily hear the TV and even the heater that was attached to the wall in the next room. The shower had nothing to put the soap on so it was difficult to wash without putting the soap on the floor of the shower.

Parking is secure and has easy lift access to the hotel

These Serviced Apartments have been built from a converted office building of the 1970's style - The fit-out has been clearly done on the cheap and the place is rather drab and industrial looking, but it's kept clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable, shower is good, and with the location being right on The Square, you're close to everything central. Of course at this price, it's a bargain and you can't expect more for the price really. The only issue we had was that the Wifi was out of order in our room for the whole 6 nights we were there. The free onsite undercover parking is also a good bonus, though when the car park is full, some of the parks will be very tight, if not impossible to get in or out of for some larger cars.
