Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small and clean caravan park. Stayed on a grassy unpowered site (green grass even in January!). Toilets and showers were impeccably clean, although only 2 showers, so may be a wait if busy (wasn’t busy for us).
The games room is basic, but there is a pool.
Drawback is that it is close to the railway siding, and the main road, hence quite noisy at night. The BBQ at the camp kitchen is much nicer than the second BBQ area near the unpowered sites.

Spent 3 nights here and found it to be an ideal base to visit surrounding areas including Port Fairy which is less than an hour away. The park was relaxing and the ensuite was clean and tidy. The tree planting and gardens in this park are very relaxing and tend to block out noise and other campers. The staff were friendly and thankyou

We stayed here for a few nights in our camper trailer. It is a lovely park, clean, well maintained, plenty of trees and good grass sites available: we lucked out with an excellent site overlooking the waterway/lake.

Amenities were excellent but lack in numbers which could be an issue at busy times. Management very helpful and friendly.

It is a G”Day Park so a discount to members. Good mobile coverage and wifi is available.

Just a short (500m) walk to town and easy access to the walking trails of the waterway/lake

We booked to stay here during Christmas to see family. They were extremely accommodating when I advised we would be late on Xmas eve and also were happy to make an add on booking for my parents to visit with us also.

I think we found our new home away from home when we stay in Hamilton now. It's close to everything and it is quiet and provides the comforts of home eg: cooking facilities and pool.

We will be seeing you again when we next come to Hamilton.

Spent one night in one of the 2 room cabins.
Pleasantly surprised is the best explanation I can give. Well laid out, excellently priced, clean and with all the amenities you would need for 1,2,3,4 nights or more.
Check in was easy with the lovely lady who checked us in recommending the Grand Central Pub in town (a 10 minute walk) for dinner which was golden advice, excellent food there 👍🏼.
Beautifully maintained little park thats in great location so highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Stayed in a two bedroom cabin for five nights. It was clean, fully stocked with all the items needed for a holiday. Reasonably new and very clean. Lots of blankets, needed in Winter. Only complaint id that the toilet pan was kids height. rather difficult to get off if you are an adult with mobility issues. Good position, and well appointed park. Big bonus is that there is a platypus breeding pair in the stream next to the park. I would stay there again.

We had a really nice relaxing weekend stay in our caravan.
The grounds are immaculate and the sites are really well presented.
It’s just a short walk to the lake and we found Hamilton a lovely base to explore Nigretta Falls / Wannon Falls / Coleraine and the surrounding areas.
Perfect for our weekend away.

Second stay in a cabin at this park, and it was excellent both times. The park itself is extremely well maintained. Check-in was quick and friendly. The one bedroom cabin was clean, well appointed, and quiet, with an efficient and quiet a/c. Comfortable bed, bonus of being able to open the windows. The bathroom was very narrow, with no bench space, but the shower cubicle was a standard size and the shower good. Easy walking distance to the city centre when weather allows. Service excellent - when the kettle in my cabin started to leak it was replaced immediately.
Good price for a self-contained unit. Would be happy to stay again.

At the start of February we had a very unfriendly greeting and incredibly rude experience. The lady at the front counter made our stay very difficult and has prompted me to write a bad review (which I never do). Would not recommend.
