The room was small without being cramped, and meticulously clean. The bed & pillows were comfortable, sitting right on the tipping point between hard & soft. The bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbed, the shower had one of those variable spray heads, and the towels were fresh and plush. We had room service breakfast one day, and the food, while relatively simple, was excellent. There was close proximity to the town centre, supermarkets and other amenities. The staff were friendly, cheerful and efficient.

Although you can stay here at budget motel process, this is way above the budget motel standard. Spotlessly clean, spacious rooms and a fully modern bathroom make this a really nice place to stay. A short walk into Hamilton town centre makes it even more attractive.

An unexpected 2 night stopover in Hamilton resulted in a quick Wotif search and I found this absolute gem.
No need to drive anywhere, everything is within a short walk.
You would be hard pressed to find a cleaner motel, the attention to detail is spot on.
This establishment is a credit to the Management and their staff who obviously take great pride in their property and workplace.
I can also recommend Kings Bakery for lunch as well as Alexandra House Sports Club for evening where the meal was plentiful, fresh and delicious! Both a hop step and jump from Lonsdale Motel.

Booked the motel within 5 minutes of turning up and everything was ready to go. The motel is quaint in size and complete quality throughout.
The rooms were well appointed and I found everything had been thought of.
Small eating table, enough baggage storage, extra pillows to choose your preferred firmness or softness, 50” tv, blockout drapes letting in no light, bedside lights for each bed and the best natural light in the bathroom in the morning. Beds were very comfortable and the linen excellent quality. The mini bar prices were some of the lowest I have seen. $2.50 for a juice or can of soda is value for money. $6 for a small bottle of wine.
Cannot fault this older motel whatsoever and a real credit to whoever runs it.
I would highly recommend you stay here. Right in the heart of a wonderful town.

We stayed one night, and enjoyed a comfortable room with breakfast. It was located in the heart of Hamilton being a close walk to the town centre and all the pubs for an evening meal.

I have booked accommodation for the Easter period and I understand that this is a busy time. My dad has been going through cancer treatment and has lately been having issues. I have requested to cancel the trip due to him bleeding. The hotel refused and said that is sad. It’s 2 rooms and a deposit of 370. I can understand sometimes if people give bogus reasons however it’s over 48 hours before the booking. Don’t stay here staff are rude and inconsiderate

Sally Ann the accommodation was booked for a peak period (Easter). You booked via Booking,com The terms and conditions were very clear when you booked and you received a confirmation of the cancelation policy which read Deposit Policy: The guest will be charged a prepayment of the cost of the first night in the 14 days before arrival. Cancellation Policy: The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. Whist we understand your position we are sure that you also understand that we held the room two rooms for you and that there was insufficent time to rebook the rooms to another so the cost to us was the loss of 4 nights accommodaion.

Without doubt one of the best places we have stayed. We had to make quite a few changes due to not knowing when a family funeral would be. Nothing was a problem. The rooms were so modern and comfortable. We were there for five nights and every one of those nights were incredibly quiet.
