We have just had a stay at Bayview Apartments and absolutely loved it!! Everything was perfect, the apartment was lovely, comfortable and well set up with all you could need, the view - WOW! The facilities are great, so clean. The managers, Gemma and Leigh, were lovely. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great holiday and they always greeted us with a friendly chat and ample smiles. COVID was the furthest thing from our minds whilst staying there as every time we entered the lifts or moved about the building we could see it was being cleaned, what a hard worker Leigh is, I don’t think he ever stops but still goes out of his way to do the extra things he can for his guests. This will be our regular holiday destination, we could see it being so regular we could make it our home away from home! Already planning our return.

The whole experience with arranging our holiday at Bayview Apartments was easy thanks to the Managers Gemma and Leigh. Due to travel restrictions and state border laws our dates needed to be changed at short notice. Gemma was understanding and worked with us. Once we arrived we really were taken by the ocean views. It was not belong before we saw whales slashing in the ocean and dolphins cruising through the waves. All from our apartment. The apartments are well appointed and decorated with comfortable lounges and beds and well equipped kitchen and laundry. The facilities in the complex are well maintained with a tennis court, spa, swimming pool and games room. The location is right on Rainbow Bay beach with two surf clubs within about 250m in either direction. Free wi-fi and free secure off street parking were other benefits.

We have staying at Bayview Apartments for 10 years now and love it. The units are very well managed by Jacinta & Jason - everything is well maintained and the pool and common areas are always spotless. It's a beautiful part of the world.

The units used to be well maintained but they have definitely gone downhill a lot. The view is beautiful but to charge for a superior unit on 2nd floor is robbery. There was mold on bathroom door and in the shower that came off easily plus inside kitchen windows were filthy! Again this came off easily so the cleaning needs to improve a lot. Tiles in ensuite floor needed a good clean. No washers provided with the linen! Also they give you 1 dishwasher tablet for 4 people for 1 week stay! No soap shampoo or conditioner and 1 sachet or dishwashing detergent and laundry detergent for 4 people for 1 week. 1 tiny chic is provided. How do they expect you to clean up? Plus 1 roll of toilet paper only. This is just cheap considering the price that is charged. We love the spot but may look elsewhere for accommodation . I gave 3 stars for the location

Love the location as it’s a stunning coastline. But when you pay good money for a 2 bedroomed, 2 bathroom “Superior” apartment I expect there to be at least 2 rolls of toilet paper and 2 bars of soap. One for each bathroom.
I did politely inquire at reception and ask if we could have a second roll of toilet paper for the 2nd bathroom and was told “no that’s all they supply”.
So the review should be 1 star for the 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 tiny bar of soap.

Let me share the problems – I tried to call the manager's mobile but the mailbox was full. I did email at the time but no response. 1. All linen meant to be supplied – no face washers 2. No shampoo or conditioners and the tiniest pieces of soap 3. The ensuite sliding door did not close – no privacy available when using toilet 4. The ensuite shower did not drain – see photo. 5. The lack of air conditioning totally amazed us. We could have stayed in one of the dodgy looking motels up the road and had air con 6. The quality of appliances was poor – Kmart standard. The frying pan was disgusting (see photo), the electric frying pan could not hold heat for more than a couple minutes. 7. Went to cook in the oven then – and found a disgusting dirty oven tray. See photo. 8. Feeling so sick on Sunday morning I thought I would run the dishwasher so it could be unpacked (by the rules) and us be out by 9am … it would not start. I had to unpack it and hand wash. 9. I went to put the rubbish out – the light in the refuse room does not work so I could not see to put the rubbish in the chute.

Have stayed at Bayview a few times over the last 20 years or so and was very dissapointed this time. Booked a "Grand Room" 15A and I consider it to be very poor. 2und bedroom curtains needed hooking up in places. There were 2 plants growing in the gaps on the back balcony. The main bedroom door surround had very bad crack and flaking paint. The top of the wardroipe reqired filling and painting. The handle to the ensiute looked appaling with dirt/ rust stains. The bedside table near the floor in both bedrooms looked like they were about to callapse. One balcony light was extremly dirty and the other had a missing cover. Two of the lounge curtains were tor (the Manager did tell me that new curtains were on order after we mentioned them). The bedgroom door surround from the hallway also required filling and painting. I have attached photos of the above. Also the door of the 2nd bedroom leading to the balcony was stuck and required the handyman to spray the lock with lubricant and also file part of where the lock fits into the door suround.
The owner and Managers should be ashamed at calling this a Grand Apartment for the cost.

Beware if you stay at Bayview Apartments that you take photos or a video of all areas of your apartment before you vacate as proof of the condition you left it in and before their cleaners enter your apartment.
I stayed at Bayview Apartments for three weeks and about a week and a half after vacating noticed that money had been deducted from my debit card account (this was not a credit card) by Jacinta the Manager for extra cleaning charges without any prior discussion or authorisation from me. The cleaners apparently said the apartment was left in an unacceptable condition ie stains on the carpet but no photos were taken and the cleaners are then paid the extra cleaning charges without any proof/evidence.
I disputed the condition of the apartment with Jacinta the Manager but she continually ignores my requests to provide any proof such as photos or a copy of the alleged tax invoice from the carpet cleaning company. I had stayed at Bayview Apartments for three week holidays the previous three years without any problems with the condition of the apartments upon vacating, however after this incident recently I will never stay at Bayview Apartments again and warn others to beware.

We decided to book a stay at Bayview Rainbow Bay to escape the winter weather in NSW. Luckily the borders opened just in time.
Our unit was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The views from every room are breathtaking, the ocean views from the front of the unit and of the Tweed area and Duranbah from the back balcony. The location is just right, with the beach across the road and cafes, restaurants and shops a short scenic walk away.
The manager of the units, Gemma, could not have been more friendly and welcoming. She made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We loved it that much we have rebooked for next year.

Our family stayed at Bayview Apartments recently, and all I can say is "WOW"! The views are amazing - we were lucky to witness whales jumping and spinning in the water from the comfort of our room balcony, the children were so excited! The room was perfection everything you could need and more, we spent numerous hours on our balcony enjoying nibbles and soaking up the views. The children (ages 8 & 10) loved the spa, pool and tennis court. The hosts Gemma and Leigh are delightful, lots of suggestions of where to explore, relax and dine, nothing was too much to ask of them, they made us feel like family visiting! We will definitely be back next year!
