Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After a long drive, this cafe was like an oasis! It was a great place to stop, for good food and atmosphere, before continuing on our way. The host/barman was knowledgeable on the area and provided us with options. I would recommend it as a stopping point before or after the Bullet gorge 👍😊

Stunning views, amazing people, cosy place and lovely walks.

Highly recommended, yummy food, comfortable coaches and a fire place where to warm up before going to bed. Surrunded of great people where you can feel like at home.

The owner and staff at the campsite and the adjacent café are really nice and you can choose freely where you want to park on the campground. However when it rains most of the area is not recommended for campers since you might face difficulties leaving the place in the morning.
The facilities are very basic. You have a small cooking area outside and the showers and toilets of the campground are in a little shed, pretty old and some of them not working properly.
Considering the price it is a good place to stay on your way to or from the West Coast, especially since the staff gives good advice for fighting the sandflies, places to visit and where to get gas before heading down the West Coast.

Awful uneven bed. Absolutely rubbish worn out pillows, which has resulted in ongoing neck pain. Cold, damp room with uneven ground. I recommend travelling further and staying somewhere in Westport instead.

Staff could not have been more helpful. Nice inside area to hang out in even if you are camping/in a van. Great rainy evening stop over with cosy bar and cafe to hang out in. Good coffee, good location on the highway and right next to pretty river.

We stayed at Berlins before and after the Old Ghost Road. The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, the facilities very clean and very reasonably priced, and the food was lovely and great value for money. Cannot recommend more highly for good value good quality accommodation and food.

We came across this place quite late one evening on our travels and got a warm welcome. We had a powered site for the campervan immediately outside the cafe and were offered use of the facilities which included a spacious shower / toilet room which was nice (but the shower flooded the whole room). We enjoyed a nice meal in the café and found the whole place good value for money.
