Great older style motel that’s been refurbished and is kept impeccably clean. Warm West Coast hospitality upon arrival along with good advice on where the best Fish n Chips are. (Buller Cafe). The motel is off the Main Street so is nice and quiet too. Being an older motel from the outside it doesn’t look like the modern ones but the room had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed! Being older and off the main road it’s priced very competitively too. I don’t think you can do better in Westport without spending a lot lot more. Do stay here.

The motel was an easy 15-minute walk to the pub where we wanted to eat and even at night, the area felt safe. Our room was very clean and the kitchen had everything we'd ever need for a much longer stay than our one night. The bed was comfy, the room spacious, the bathroom had plenty of amenities and our entire stay was very pleasant. If/when we return to Westport, this motel will be the first place we'll try.

Nice simple room with friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay. Great for the price. Would stay again for sure! Had portable heater in the room and full kitchenette appliances in the room. Off the main road so quiet.

The staff were not very friendly on arrival, it almost seemed like a huge effort to process our accomodation. One of our units had old ham left in the fridge and the fridge was turned off. The rooms were dated in decor and amenities. The rooms were a little stuffy after retiring to bed. There was a good supply of tea, coffee, etc.

A basic motel with comfortable, clean rooms a little way out of town. It had everything we needed for a one night stay, there was ample parking and free wifi. Also a litle kitchenette with all the necessary crockery and cutlery and a guest laundry.

The unit itself looked nice, and had a great shower. The cooking utilities were fine, but could do with an extractor unit above the hotplates. What really disappointed us was the thick dust under the bed, with a couple of feathers also, perhaps out of the duvet, and the top blanket on the bed (the extra, fluffy one) made my face itch immediately which means it hadn't been washed in some time, as I am allergic to dust mites. The man who checked us in was scruffy and smelly. Won't be staying again.

We had the Family 2-bedroom suite which was a free-standing house! Very spacious, warm, with excellent facilities. A little bit out of the way of town - short drive but longish walk into town. Comfy beds, huge TV, excellent parking.

Really only needed a bed and shower so were looking for a room that wasn't too expensive while being clean!! Found both of these here. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Got a studio unit for two nights. Good bed, although if any complaint it was a tad on the hard side, but would rather this than one too soft. Toilet separate from shower/ vanity area. Liked this. Flat screen television and small couch, also table and chairs. jug, toaster, microwave and cook top in units. Everything was clean and tidy. The motel in need of make over to bring it up to todays standards, but in so saying, guess if it was modernized then the price would alter accordingly. Parking off road was available although a bit of a tight fit when motel was full. Close to town centre, walking distance if wanted but probably 5 minute drive maximum but was off the main drive into Westport which was great as no traffic noise. Also units were great with no noise from other guests of motel. A big plus for any body. Lovely mown grass verge opposite motel for walking along the banks of the Buller river. So don't expect a modern motel, but you will get a clean bed and room at a very good rate.

The new hosts were very friendly. The shower water pressure was great. Wifi worked on the first night only after very limited use. We found shards of glass on the bathroom floor. For some unknown reason our unit had two queen beds. We had to climb on the 2nd bed to close the curtains. Not ideal. There would be more room if the extra was a single.
