I was so impressed with how clean and tidy this motel it well exceeded all of our expectations I thought Westport on a whole was a lovely welcoming clean and friendly town with absolutely lovely food and wonderful coffee
Stay here for one night, smelled musty/mildew. TV was awesome as it was a smart TV...thats a positive. My children and I have been displaced for months, moving from hotel to hotel until insurance makes a decision on what they are going to do and when. My kitten had been injured by a tom cat (my cat is fixed, registered, and microchipped) she allowed us to have our kitten outside in an animal crate, which we were really grateful for.....when we left she complained thst there were fleas in the bed. So I went to the vets (who defleas my kitten) and got a letter from them stating that my kitten is deflead and when they have deflead her...shes not due for her next deflea treatment for 2 1/2 weeks. Why say such nasty things....the cleaners there were quite strange and would just stand there and stare at us....very uncomfortable place if you don't look like you have money. Will post proof of vet letter if the owner decides to reply. Very rude cleaners, very judgemental owner.…
This is a slightly older style motel, but overall it was good. Check in was very easy and host was friendly. Easy walk into town and plenty of off street parking I had a 1 bedroom unit which was at the front of the property and i was concerned about the traffic noise, but it was fine. Couch in the lounge was very comfortable as was the bed. Shower had good pressure and hot water.
We escaped to the West Coast of New Zealand. Stunning scenery plus working our way up to Granity where my grandparents started their married life in late 1800's. Lovely quiet motel, very clean great friendly receptionist.
Our room was a really good size, well heated and very clean. We were away from the road so nice and quiet. The lady at reception was lovely and very helpful regarding local restaurants and eateries. Would definitely stay here again.
We were very lucky to get the last room available. It worked well to have a separate bedroom rather than a studio. The lounge//dining area was spacious & looked out on to the road. The friendly service was appreciated.
I was lucky enough to be upgraded so ended up in a 2 storey unit. I stayed in unit #2, although it was only just off from the main road it was a quiet unit and very clean & comfortable. Had a nice big TV downstairs and fast free wifi, no issues and will likely stay here again next time I am in Westport
We stayed in a studio for 2 nights. The room was comfortable and the hotel well situated for exploring the area, we visited Cape Foulwind and the seal colony as well as Denniston coal mining area. We had an upper unit with a small balcony, nice view of lawns and the room was fairly quiet. Less positive aspects are that the room is very dated and a bit shabby. Also, the internet was poor at times. Otherwise, OK stay and friendly service.
There's quite a lot of accommodation in Westport, but we chose this place as it was well situated (not far from town centre) and well presented The price appeared mid-range of what was available. Staff were friendly & helpful, and the room was clean & tidy (& warmed up quickly when it got cold at night). Whilst on the main road into town, Westport seems a relatively quiet place and we were not bothered by traffic noise.
Good stay at the Chelsea Gateway in Westport. Booked a Spa Bath Studio, which was very clean and situated back from the main road so was nice and quiet. Staff were friendly. Easy walk down the road to the New World Supermarket. When I stayed the place was booked out with contractors, so the noise level around 6am was definitely increased. Overall, a very good stay and will definitely stay again.
