Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a beautiful clean park with spacious facilities and awesome hosts. We stayed in a motel room that was very large, had an amazing view and everything you could want. The owners and hosts were very helpful and wonderful to deal with. Would thoroughly recommend staying her in one of their accommodation options or on a site.

Probably the nicest campground I’ve stayed in. Posh toilets for a campground. Toilets and showers were very clean. Lovely hot showers. Beautiful roses everywhere around the grounds. Peaceful place with good private spaces for camping. Pretty area to eat outside and watch the sunset. Great value for money. Minor negative: the toilets could do with two ply rather than single ply toilet paper. It ripped very easily and made it awkward to use.

Worst place ever!! I visited NZ 6 years ago and I can't forget how unwelcoming and rude was the lady!! They gave me camping accomodation for my van but very inconvenient to park. After check in I decided to go for a visit in the town and while I was unparking with a lot of difficulties due to the configuration of the camping accomodation and I accidently "touched" a pole. I got out of the van to check for any damages and no nothing was to declare so I left for my visit. When I got back they changed me of camping accommodation and charged me 100$ claiming that the pole was damaged!! I tried to explain first that there were no damages so I didn't understanf how they could charge me and anyway it was very difficult to unpark from this accomodation and they should have known. She answered I had to learn how to drive. I visited maybe 40 countries over the past years and I had never been treated this way!!! This event almost ruined my stay in NZ and I'm still thinking of it 6 years later!! And when I see the LONG list of very bad comments especially on the rudness and dishonesty of the lady... even if she denies everything we can't suspect that so much people are lying in their comments...

We chose this place as the sites were separated by hedging to give some privacy. There was no face to face contact with any staff during the stay, only a map left in a lock box, and we were required to pay by cash left in an envelope. The site we were given was right in front of another caravan who had left their car on the site. No one on site to sort this out, so had to call the owner to get moved which we were. Facilities were a bit unloved, a lot of appliances not working in the kitchen and no hot water so we ended up doing dishes at our own site. All 5 hand driers in the ladies were out of order. Suspect this is covid related due to lack of money, however it wasn't a cheap place. The lack of staff on site isn't particularly helpful, there is no reason why staff couldn't be behind a screen, and at least be available to take electronic payment. There wasn't particularly anything bad about the place and would possibly stay again, however once visitor numbers increase I would expect some improvements to be done or prices to be reduced

Despite a comfortable bed however, the studio unit suffered from no hot water early this morning...so no shower grrrr. For bizarre reasons there are typed notes everywhere in the room warning of additional charges being made for transgressions like wet utensils put in the draw...dishes left in the sink, etc, which does not engender cordial welcoming customer relations.. Parking arrangements could be better laid out to access units, very difficult to manoeuvre cars in and out.. Also part time office hours with no bell not helpful in case of problems like the hot water issue.

The woman who manages 'Fiordland Great Views Holiday Park' just out of Te Anau was extemely rude and unprofessional. Regrettably, I wouldn't recommend this holiday park to anyone. We moved out to Gateway TeAnau Holiday Park, 128 Te Anau Terrace Fiordland in Te Anau; it was very affordable, clean and fabulously right on the water front.

The campsite is extremely overpriced considering how low quality it is. Most of the power outlets are disabled leaving only three in a room which is locked at 9pm. When we asked the receptionist about this she said we didn't deserve overnight power for the amount we were paying. The kitchen is very basic and poorly equipped, which additional charges for everything. The showers are also unheated.

We chose this campground as it was quiet and not overrun like in the centre of town. Only doable if you have a car as its JUST out of town on the way to Milford Sound. Great amenities, kitchen was well set up, bathrooms were modern and heated, and the campsites were easy to set up in. Friendly staff on arrival and flexible about how long we wanted to stay, and overall we had a great stay and would camp there again. Can't comment on any of the cabins etc as we only tented, but it was great for a campsite.

We stayed in a unit was lovely and clean had a full kitchen and fridge, double bed and bunks. Not a lot of room for suitcases and no wardrobe so if u not using one of the bunks u can put your bags on the bottom bunk. but was still a great room had a spacious bathroom.ther was a laundry room for all to use and two clothes lines. Was about a 3 minute drive to the town shops so not to far at all.

My husband and I stayed here whilst on our honeymoon. When we arrived we were amazed by the beautiful view of the mountains as well as the lovely well kept grounds. We were a bit frustrated upon check-in to find out that eftpos was down (I later found out it's been 'down,' for three last few years). We had cash on us thankfully but being from overseas we were keeping that cash for other things. We were greeted but I wouldn't say it was a warm greeting compared to all the other places we have stayed. Our room was lovely however with modern furniture and a nice colour scheme. Towels and linen were provided along with soap and shampoo. The shower however was cold even when I had it on the hottest setting (and please don't say I was using it wrong like you have in other responses because we have a similar control tap at home) so that was disappointing. The TV had no remote and if we used it wrong could've been fined up to $150 to fix it. We had to boil the kettle to have hot water to wash the dishes because if we didn't wash the dishes we would be fined $50. (See photo). There were passive aggressive notes all around the place to the point where we were scared to touch anything. We paid for wifi that we couldn't use half the time because the connection was terrible. If they put as much effort into the customer service and the overall ambience of the suites (which cost nearly $500 for 3 nights) as they did with the grounds and camping facilities then this would've been a much more pleasurable stay. Also the notes saying that if we complained about anything in our room they would help us find accomodation elsewhere shows just how much they value their customers.
