We spent 2 nights in this place and the location facing the Te Anau Lake was gorgeous and the well-kept garden with nice flowers . We were welcomed by Phil, our landlord, who is very friendly and helpful : he gave us very interesting advices on the places we can visit and the things we can do around Te Anau. We also enjoyed a lot the breakfast in the living room overlooking the lake - such a beautiful view - and chating with Phil. Also, even when we were coming back late in the evening, Phil was waiting for us, which is mostly unusual but that we appreciated. We recommend this accommodation.

A very comfortable place to stay with a beautiful view just a few minutes out of Te Anau and well worth the drive. Host Phil made great suggestions and was a pleasure to spend time with. An easy place to relax with other guests or on your own. Only wishlist item - the room's patio door is the only source of fresh air & it would be nice to have a way to leave it safely open partway while sleeping & a screendoor to stop bugs.

What should have been a leisurely 3 hour drive from Queenstown turned into an 11 hour slog through floods, rockfalls and landslides. Throughout our journey our host, Phil, remained a calming presence keeping in constant touch and, in gathering darkness, greeted us with a smile and soothing hot drink. The views the accommodation offers are unsurpassed, with mountains and lakes providing a wonderful backdrop to a splendid breakfast. Iain Woods and Sherri Dewsbery

Loch Vista Villa is about a 5 minute drive from central Te Anau. It situated on a hill with a fabulous view of the lake and surrounding mountains. We did a tour of the Milford Sound and the tour company picked us up at Loch Vista, super convenient. The owner, Phil, is a great host. This is a traditional B&B, you're in a house with other guests, sharing breakfast at the table, etc. If you don't want to interact with anyone, then this is not the place for you. It is very clean and comfortable, although we were there approaching winter and it was a bit cool in our room - but there was a space heater provided. Each room has it's own television and you can get Netflix. The main lounge has a nice wood burning stove. The continental breakfast was very nice. There is tea/coffee available whenever you want it. Phil is very knowledgable about the area and has lots of information about local activities.

We had a great stay with Phil. He was a gracious host and introduced us to his pet sheep, Chubby, who was adorable! Phil gave us great dining recommendations and provided us with a delicious breakfast the next morning. The house is up on a hill with beautiful water views. Highly recommend staying here.

If you came to NZ for quietness and close contact with nature this B&B should be yours! 10 min drive from Te Anau on the way to Milford Sound. Brand new wooden house with the latest confort requirements. Splendid view over Te Anau lake through large window bays. . Very friendly and discret owner. Good bedding. Large living room. Home made fruit salad for breakfast. The only personal little critic is the continental breakfast with no eggs and bacon despite the large well equipped kitchen room. For sure we will come back.

The best part about this hotel was the interaction with the staff. They provided excellent customer service! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We ran into some unexpected issues with Real Journeys cancelling our glow worm cave tour last minute and Phil worked with us and handled the situation like a true professional.

A small B&B as we like them. Superb lake views from the living room and some bedrooms. Phil is adorable and will share with you the best plans of the region. It’s nice to stay there for 2 or 3 nights to rest and enjoy the place. Simple, clean room with bathroom and delicious breakfast at the time of your choice.
