Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for three nights and it was wonderful! Our hosts thought of everything to make our stay feel like a luxureous break of our trip in New Zealand. Cudo’s on the breakfast! Delicious! If it wasn’t the other end of the world, we would definitly stay here again. Thank you so much!

We can only recommend the Blue Ridge Studios. Already at the arrival we were received friendly. After a brief explanation of the heating in the bathroom and living room, there was a map of the surrounding area and tips where we could go out to eat in the evening. The apartments are very spacious, everything is lovingly furnished and very clean. The breakfast we had to order the night before and say when we want to take breakfast the next Morning. The next day the breakfast was brought to the room on time. This has the advantage that you can also have breakfast on the terrace in front of the apartment when the weather is nice. If we ever come back to Te Anau, we will definitely stay here again.

Delightful! The cottage in the garden of Derek and Laura provides spacious, comfortable, well equipped and private accommodation close to the town centre of Te Anau. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and the breakfast provided was delicious. A great find, highly recommended!

Our visit was wonderful and relaxing from the moment we pulled into the driveway. The owner greeted us at our car and showed use to our room. The room was spotless and comfortable. We had a long day of travel.and having coffee, milk in the refrig, cookies and chocolates in our room was such a nice surprise. The B&B was a 4 minute car ride to town. Finally, the hardy made to order breakfast with also additional cold choice was delicious and set you up for a day of hiking.

Very well maintained units. Very comfortable bed! Very clean and good breakfast. Nice outlook onto the garden. Friendly and helpful host. We spent 1 night and had dinner in te anau. We would stay again. It’s the best place to break the drive to Milford Sound.

Rebecca our host was very welcoming and the rooms in a little block next to a house in a residential road of family homes was set in a charming garden and inside Rebecca has thought of everything. Firstly it is spotlessly clean with a great bathroom piping hot shower, heated towel rail and space for toiletries. There’s also a little kitchenette with milk in the fridge tea coffee homemade biscuits and chocolate bars! The bed was wide and comfortable and the room had a sofa too. There was a large wardrobe space with a superb area to store open suitcases under it which was very practical. Outside on the veranda were tables & chairs. Rebecca was extremely knowledgeable about the area, confirmed our Doubtful Sound boat booking without being asked to and served an amazingly generous breakfast at our chosen time which was early on one morning. I cannot recommend this enough. If there is a downside the property is set in the very pretty garden of a quiet residential road close to town but it hasn’t got a view.

We stayed two nights in Blue Ridge Boutique B&B. The 3 available rooms are in a wooden house in the garden. The owners, Rebecca and Mike, live nearby in there house. Very friendly and helpful . Our room was nice, very clean, bathroom with floor heating. A little kitchen with nice details, chocolates, biscuits. Outside you can use a hotpool which is very nice. The location is great just 2 minutes from the town center with all the restaurants. Breakfast is served in the house of Rebecca. Very tasty and complete with diferent tipes of eggs, müsli, joghurt, bread, juice. Perfect place to visit Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound. Highly recomended!

If you want top quality Te Anau bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a lovely host, Blue Ridge B&B is the place. Rebecca who runs the B&B is super-nice and takes great pride in making guests feel welcome. The well-kept house is located in a quiet residential cul-de-sac just a couple of minutes drive from the commercial centre of Te Anau. There are three guest rooms located in a separate building that is surrounded by a well-tended garden. Our room, unit number 3 at the back, was fantastic: The attention to detail and the top-quality tasteful furnishings are a luxury. The room is really large, with plenty of space to spread out, and was spotlessly clean. Windows on three sides let in lots of lovely light. Everything in the room has been carefully thought about to ensure comfort and convenience, like the underfloor bathroom heating, the useful shelf for luggage (if only every hotel had a similar shelf!), the tasty chocolates and shortbread biscuits, and, in the kitchenette, utensils and appliances that work well. The wi-fi is strong, the shower is big, the duvet on the bed is soft and warm, the pillows are great, and the in-room heating is effective. In the mornings, breakfast is served in a cosy room over in the main house. The fully-cooked breakfast is made to order by Rebecca and is quite simply delicious - amongst the best we had on our month-long trip around New Zealand. There is also cereals, yoghurt, toast, etc. so you definitely don't go hungry. On our last day, we wanted to go on a big hike nearby (the spectacular Brod Bay to Luxmore Hut Kepler Track day hike) but we were checking out and were worrying over what to do with all our luggage (including laptops) and perishable food that we needed for the next stage of our travels. Rebecca very kindly offered to store our luggage and to put our refrigerated food in the fridge for the day. That was a huge relief for us - Rebecca's understanding and generosity is what makes her and Blue Ridge B&B special. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Had stayed previously in 2012 before Rebecca & Mike took over. Rebecca & Mike have maintained, if not exceeded, the high standards of their predecessors. Everything was extremely clean and tidy. A great breakfast with plenty of selection in the main house.
