Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent two nights in a lodge room as part of a hiking tour. I can see why they selected this place for our group but I wouldn't recommend the lodge rooms for an independent traveler. They lodge is adequate but I suspect that one could find a better place elsewhere. The rooms are large enough but do not have air conditioning. They are uncomfortable in the afternoon on a warm day even with the provided floor fan operating on high. The TV has about a dozen channels but the maximum volume is so low that it is difficult to hear. The shower is fine.

Loved this park! The staff are just amazing and super friendly and efficient. Our 2 bedroom deluxe apartment was fantastic with plenty of sheets, bedding and amenities. Had wonderful check in messages and enjoyed our visit to the sauna (free) and hot tub (30 for 2). The park is busy but was super quiet and really clean and well organised. One of my favourite ever holiday parks and sad to leave it! Thank you.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. It was good but not wow. Staff are friendly and the site is immaculate throughout and offers lots of bbq and laundry points. It is a short walk into town and has a shop opposite the site for provisions. The only down side was that we thought our villa was on the beach and also the standard of the villa wasn’t acceptable.

Stayed 2 nights here Oct 2023 with 6 birth camper on hard powered site. Check in was very easy and touble free. Site is located right across the road from the Lake itself and is easy walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. Facilities are excellent with everything you need and all in good, clean working condition. Without a doubt, if you are in a camper and staying in Te Anau? This is the campsite. The Milford Sounds tour companies pick up from site as well. Many thanks for the team that runs this site. They do a great job.

Whilst the park it’s self was well located, close to town and very clean and tidy The spacious kitchen area had not one utensil, pot, pan or item of crockery other than a lone saucer. There were 2 BBQ but only one spatula so cooking was interesting Such a shame as it let this lovely site down. I checked the website for this park and could find no mention of bringing your own kitchen/ cooking utensils We have used other Tasman Parks which did have equipment needed to make use of the kitchen

It was a very last minute plan for the Labor Day weekend and we booked it for the great price and all the photos online. We drove after work from Dunedin on Friday so I called the reception and informed them that we will arrive late. (The reception closes at 8pm) They had kept our key with a map of the park (directions from the reception to the room clearly marked) in an envelope at the reception entrance. The room was very clean, comfy bed, cozy but big enough for two people too. Mini fridge, kettle and the toaster came in handy too. I loved the little drinking water tap outside each room. Shared facilities were very clean and well maintained. There are enough facilities for the whole park, we didn't have to wait our turn at any point even though it was fully booked. Great location, just across the road from the lake. Walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. We will definitely go back!

If some small issue were taking care off it would have been fabulous! - a microwave in the room would have been great - the remotes for the tv and ?? were not working!! - the fridge door could not close - no rice cooker in shared kitchen - BBQ out of date. BUT - room very clean - good location - great shower..comfortable bed

Better than lakeview te anau campsite: small and pretty campsite with amazing free sauna and hot tub. Flexible booking possible with a friendly reception. Powerered sites are hard or on grass. Walk to bathroom is short. Next to the sites are lovely benches for sitting together.

The Park is really for RVs and the like with a common kitchen and recreation facilities surrounded by parking areas for RVs. We instead had a motel like room in a nearby courtyard. It did not have cooking facilities in room, but instead again a common kitchen and dining area. This seemed a bit unusual. There was also a laundry room, which proved quite useful. The room itself seemed big enough, but maybe limited in extras. The office has limited hours so we had to pick up an envelope and find our way to the room.
