My dad has booked us in a few times this winter, the 2 bedroom apartment has enough room for 4 of us, it is modern, warm and comfortable. Nice quiet neighbourhood so always get a great nights sleep. Kitchenette has everything we need to cook breakfast. We will be back time and time again.
We spent 2 nights in one of their higher-end motel rooms with its own private wood-fired hot tub and a kitchenette. The hot tub -- big enough for the two of us -- took a bit of fiddling and fussing, but it was glorious to sit in the crisp autumn air under a starry sky soaking in the tub and smelling the smoke and cedar aromas! We had our own BBQ grill, too, which allowed a yummy lamb chop celebration dinner, too. The unit had a french press coffee maker, which was a nice touch. It is easy to find, and just a few blocks from the grocery stores and restaurants, and only a couple of blocks from the lakefront. The host was competent, but could have been a bit friendlier, IMHO. He wasn't unfriendly, but just a bit taciturn. Great jumping off location for Milford Sound boat tours (we…
Stayed here for two nights in March . Lovely small hotel, near the centre of Te Anau. 15 minutes walk along the lakeside to town centre. We upgraded to a room with a hot tub. Fabulous way to end the day after a cold, wet and windy trip to Milford Sound. Room was clean, spacious, with good in room facilities. Tea and coffee and milk supplied.
No what we expected at all. The renovated house was clean and tidy, but not what we are used to. Probably the biggest downfall is the one bathroom with the only toilet in it. With 6 adults in the house, this doesn’t cut the muster. A 3 bedroom house needs an en-suite and a stand alone toilet. Disappointed!
This is minutes away from the lake front and all attractions, is clean and comfortable and, although we didn’t have time to use it, came with a jacuzzi, which was a nice touch. Also had bikes available to borrow for a donation.
